Day 3 Tuesday: We once again awaken early and head right over to Seaworld. Today we will see the things we missed and also have tickets to Save a Species tour. So, we enter the park and right away go to check in for our tour. They give us our tickets and tell us we need to be there at 11:40am sharp. Ok, great!! It's 9am we have time to kill. We go to the bakery and get a cup of coffee and muffin and sit and relax watching the others race for the rides and dolphins. Ok, we finish breakfast and slowly make our way to Wild Artic. NO LINES!!! YEA!!! This is a motion simulator which I must say is very tame. It was alot of fun though. We did wonder if there are actually jet helicopters? If anyone here knows, let us know. LOL Okay, now we slowly walk back towards 'The Spice Mill' We wanted to do lunch here, we love cajun food. We sit around and watch the pearl divers while waiting for it to open. Once in the Spice Mill we both get the Cajun Jambalaya. It was very very good, and very spicy. We sat on the porch overlooking the lake. It was very quiet and beautiful. A truly relaxing lunch. After eating we head over to the Save a Species tour. We get there and have to wait about 5 minutes. There is 23 people on this tour. 5 children, 18 adults including us two. The tour begins with taking us (for lack of better words) behind the scenes. We went behind the fence, behind the Mantee exhibit. First thing she showed us was the vehicles used to go pick up the animals. One a boat with the motor (propeller) up front instead of in the back so no Manatee is hurt. Then we were showed the truck used to pick up Manatees, turtles, birds, ect. We were then shown the pools where the animals are kept to recover. There were several manatees, turtles, and dolphins. The pools cannot be touched at all, as the water is purified and germ free. Very interesting how it's done. After seeing this, and hearing about all they do. We are shown the Animal Hospital with it's on-call doctors. I liked this part, since I work in a hospital. To end the tour we were taken into a cage to feed birds. These birds live here permantly and are very people friendly. We have a couple of pictures taken by a professional of the birds sitting on our arms while eating out of a little bowl in our hands. After the tour we decided to go shopping, and pick up our pictures. We wanted to buy a few things for co-workers and such. The pictures came out beautifully, I was very pleased. We head back to our car at the hotel, already packed and check out. So we drive off to the DoubleTree at Entrance to Universal Studios. Now, I was apprehensive about this hotel, as those who know me from early posts are aware. WELL................let me just say this...................I'm very very pleased to announce that Trip Advisor is WAY WAY WAY OFF. This hotel is beautiful. We had a room on the 15th floor, in the cornor facing Universal Studios. OMG........I was in heaven. I took pictures of the view from our window, but alas have no clue how to post. If someone knows please let me know. The staff was wonderful, the room very clean. The bed was great, soft, comfy. They had down pillows and a down comforter. So, all like me who fear this place. Please don't!!!!!!!!! Trust me!!!!! Okay, so we check in, drop our bags off and decide to head over to City Walk to see what it is like. It's about maybe a mile walk from hotel to City walk. Not too bad, and saved on parking costs. City Walk is somewhat like Downtown Disney, but in my opionion better. We spent a lot of time in Endagered Species store, then walked all the way around. We stop and ate at Bob Marley's. Wonderfull food. I had spicy beef in some kind of pastry shell, very different but I enjoyed it. My DH had the meatless stuffed peppers, he said it was good. We then walked back to our hotel and rested. Preparing ourselves for tomorrow. UNIVERSAL STUDIOS!!!!!!!!!
