We got to the resort, Music in the Fantasia area, on Sat Nov 29th. We were greeted with three cute towel animals and a room in need of updating. We had a towel animal in the window, mouse ears on the bed and something on the sink. I say something because I do not know what it was suppose to be lol.

The room was clean, no bugs but in need of some TLC. But it served its purpose as a value hotel to lay your head. Having said that I do not think I would pick this area again.

Mousekeeping was a gem and the same lady all week. She spoiled us silly and had fun posing the kids toys and items. Always a sight to see and the kids liked it.

On Sunday we had Chef Mickeys, I will not book this one again. We have done this 3 times now and the third time was horrible and a strike. The Characters and the Dancing were fun but the food lacked variety and in most cases were slim. DH and I decided this is a no go and a waste of TS in the future.

We had fun in all the parks and the transportation was ok minus one bus driver who several of us complained about and ppl who were able to stand but clearly felt entitled to over come someone in need of a seat. But it worked out in the end.

My son was on a GAC and it made the parks smooth, so I thank Disney for that. Scooters in high volume. I would like to think everyone needed it but some needed a lesson in manners and maybe even a driving lesson. I had my foot ran over once and had to pull my kids out of a path of an on coming moving madman who I did exhange words with. Respect ppl!!! But dont mess with my babies!

Monday we had Crystal Palace, loved the food, loved the theme and the ppl. Will do again. Tuesday we had Whispering C.C. and have now added that to our must eat at places. We had witnessed some fun there but did request for our table to not be blunt of any jokes as my son is Autistic. But our waitress was wonderful and made sure things were going on around us. TY :)

We also had Tusker House, yep on my future list and OMG our waiter, the bomb! TY Thomas! We had to cancel Ohanas since that virus took out my 2 yr old so I am not sure about that one. Sci Fi was fun, the boys (even DH) enjoyed it. Pizza Planet left somethings to be desired but the kids loved it. Garden Grill was good and they had real sweet tea! Won me over!

The decorations were less but still pretty and obvious. Over all we had a good time but came home with one child with croup and the other URI that turned into Pnuemonia ... all in all we will go again in 2009!

Sorry to hear about your family getting sick on vacation.
We bring wipes and Lysol with us to WDW.

Sounds like you made the best of your trip to WDW and did not let kinks get in your way of having some fun.

I hope you are able to plan another WDW in 2009 or in the near future.

Try doing less buffets and do mostly service type restaurants - less germs.
Also remember the old saying "wash your hands before you eat" and
"keep your mouth closed when jumping or going underwater in the pool".

Keep the magic and plan for your next trip ;)

Thanks for sharing your trip...I really enjoy reading how other people's visits went. Sorry to hear that your children came home sick...hope they are on the mend soon. Also, glad to hear that you liked Tusker House...we tried it for the first time in October and is now on our must do list for May.

Thanks for posting, we're leaving on Saturday. We weren't supposed to go but I got a severe case of Osborne Lights withdrawal.:scared1: How were the crowds?

Glad to hear you had a great trip! Hope your children are feeling better! What a bummer!

I thought the Fantasia section was at the Movies. :confused3 That would explain why the rooms needed some TLC, the Movies resort has yet to be refurbished. The Music rooms have been done, so I would be really suprised if one was not up to snuff.

So sorry your little ones got sick. Sounds like a pretty good trip though.

Could the towel animal-like thing on the sink have been a soap dish? I know we got one of those one day on our trip. It was obvious though since it did have a bar of soap in it. :)

That is adorable and a sweet touch about the Mouskeeper posing the kids' toys. That counts as one of the 'little things' that really stay with you.

I, too, had a disappointing Chef Mickey breakfast (Dec 3). The first time we went, almost a year ago, it was wonderful! This trip? Very rushed with character interaction, rushed with server (who was taking food plates as we were eating from them!), and the food (which is never a 'rave') was noticeably lacking. But I don't go there for the food--we go for the kid/character interaction, and that is what upset me. I later joked with my mom at our house upon return, by taking her coffee cup right as she was about to drink. Gotta laugh!

We also are raving about Crystal Palace (we had a walk -in breakfast on the 2nd). No rush whatsoever, server was informative, friendly, never hovering, telling us repeatedly to take our time, etc.. A view of the castle too! The characters were great, taking their time with the kids, and making repeated appearances. Tigger was hysterical! The food was excellent, the place spotless.

I am glad to hear another good Tusker House review; we are planning that for next trip.

The decor wasn't all I have read about, but like you said, OP, lovely nonetheless.

Sorry to hear about sick kids. Croup can be scary (sounding, for sure) and has had a strong go around this season, at least where we live.
