Hello!
I just got back from a 5 day/4 night stay at the Pop Century. I LOVED it. We requested room with a king bed preferrably in the 80's or 50's sections. We ended up getting the king bed, but were placed in the 70's section, room 6303 to be exact. I am actually glad that we were put there because it is so close to everything...classic hall, bus stops, pools. The resort was never noisy, and although we were facing the 70's courtyard, we never heard noisy people.
I was so impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff was! I would have never known that the resort had just opened...things seemed to be running pretty smoothly!
The theme of the resort is awesome. I was a tiny bit worried that it would seem too tacky, but it all seemed to fit together perfectly. My boyfriend and I loved walking around and looking at all momentos from the past.
The food was ok. I had pancakes for breakfast one morning and they were pretty bland. They remined me of the breakfast buffet at my college dining hall. I think dinner and lunch were excellent. I especially liked the parmesean crusted chicken. The refillable mugs that you can buy were awesome.
Overall, the Pop Century was a great experience. For the $55/night rate we got, it was definetly worth it! I am jealous of all you lucky people who have upcoming vacations planned there!
