Hello!
I just got back from a 5 day/4 night stay at the Pop Century. I LOVED it. We requested room with a king bed preferrably in the 80's or 50's sections. We ended up getting the king bed, but were placed in the 70's section, room 6303 to be exact. I am actually glad that we were put there because it is so close to everything...classic hall, bus stops, pools. The resort was never noisy, and although we were facing the 70's courtyard, we never heard noisy people.
I was so impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff was! I would have never known that the resort had just opened...things seemed to be running pretty smoothly!
The theme of the resort is awesome. I was a tiny bit worried that it would seem too tacky, but it all seemed to fit together perfectly. My boyfriend and I loved walking around and looking at all momentos from the past.
The food was ok. I had pancakes for breakfast one morning and they were pretty bland. They remined me of the breakfast buffet at my college dining hall. I think dinner and lunch were excellent. I especially liked the parmesean crusted chicken. The refillable mugs that you can buy were awesome.
Overall, the Pop Century was a great experience. For the $55/night rate we got, it was definetly worth it! I am jealous of all you lucky people who have upcoming vacations planned there!

Some have said there has been problems with Parking.
Did you find it a problem?tks for your review ,we are there for two
weeks starting Jan 23

Glad you enjoyed your stay. We are looking forward to our trip in May. It's almost like you can't wait for it to get here but at the same time you don't want it to be here cause then it will be over.
Oh well then it will be time to plan again!!!

We took a towncar directly from the airport, so I did not experience the parking situation. Enjoy your trip!!!:earsboy:

no, there was no fridge in the room. That would have been nice, though!:D

Glad to hear you're stay at the PC was so pleasant. I can't wait until our trip this December. I especially like your $55/night rate. Is an AP rate? Thanks.

We were originally going to stay in the Best Western in Downtown Disney, but we found a discount code on another website a few weeks prior to leaving. We do not have annual passes. Anyone could use the code, but i think it had just come out in the beginning of December. With the taxes and everything, the room ended up being $61.33 a night.

I was wondering if the 70's building had some King rooms there!;) I will be there in 16 days!:bounce:

Hope you have a blast! Make sure to walk around and look at all the little things. We especially liked that by the lake there was a path with all signs from different years. On the signs there were facts about each year. Also, check out the shadow boxes in the lobby of classic hall! :earsboy:

Hi, glad you enjoyed your stay. We're planning on staying there at the end of Mar. How was the bus transportation ? Thanks !

The bus transportation from Pop Century was really efficient. We never had to wait too long. Also, PC does not share a bus with any other resort, so you get to and from where you are going extra quick!:earsboy:
