Photos are all posted now.

I decided to finally do a trip report, photos will follow a little later.

We arrived Friday, October 1st, at about 1:30 for 8 nights. The line at check in was very long. All lanes except one was open and they were stacked 5 deep. Got checked in about 2:30 to site 110. I knew this was a small site & hard to get in, so I asked if there was another available, bit that was the only one open in the 100 loop. It took some manuvering with a only a few inches clearance on either side while backing, but I got it in. I did a quick hookup, then headed to Epcot (MK was closing early for MNSSHP). My DW and I headed to the F&W booths and grazed for supper, then listened to one of the concert performances.

The next morning I completed our setup, got out the Halloween decorations & so forth.

The weather was perfect. No rain, highs were like 87 with lows in the upper 60's, then it dropped later during the week to 82 & low 60's (one morning it was even 58 according to my temp. gauge). I know those that were tent camping appreciated the temperature break.

Since it was just my DW & I on this trip, it was way more laid back. We still got up early (which we always do anyway) and headed to one of the parks, but was always back by about 1:00. We did a few return trips to some of the parks in the evening and went to DTD a couple of times in the evening as well. Mostly we looped and visited at night.

We ate most of our meals out. Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern were good as usual. We ate at the Biergarten in Germany. Have not been ther in a few years and we still enjoyed it.

We tried Tusker House at AK. Had not been there since it became a buffet, but we quite enjoyed it. The meats on the carving board were well seasoned and had a good flavor. Overall it had a good variety that should appeal to most persons.

Ate at Hollywood & Vine at the Studios. We have not eaten there in a few years and probably won't go back again for a few more to see if they improved any. Not much thought was put into their food selection & preparation.

As a last minute thought we did Cinderella's Royal Table at breakfast one morning. We walked up and they had availability, so we tried it. I have not eaten at the Castle since the Royal Table thing started, prior to then we would always do a lunch there. The food (what little variety they had) was OK. Obviously this was designed as meet & greet for the Princeses, as they all came to your table. The meal consisted of your choice of a standard breakfast fare or a healthy one, both with an added plate of pastries and a bowl of fruit, with your drink. No refills (or at least none was offered) on the food items. You had a picture made with Cinderella prior to seating which was included in your meal price. With my TIW discount, the bill for the 2 of us was almost $80.00. Needless to say, this will be off our list until we have small grand kids.

More to come with photos.

Looking forward to hearing more and seeing your photos.

You already mentioned that 110 was hard to back in to.

But, how did you like it once you were there? There isn't a whole lot of privacy with that site is there? The whole street side of your rig faces the loop.

I was there for the first two nights of your trip. I'm sure we looped past your site a few times.

The bushes on the side provided a lot of privacy when we were sitting out, but I am one of those persons who like to people watch and talk, so I usually like the 100 loop instead of one of the more secluded loops.

You must have been talking about Thursday 10/7. I got the same reading :)

The weather was amazing last week.

Can't wait for the rest of your TR.

Wow, yet ANOTHER trip report. We are lucking out around these parts lately!! :thumbsup2

OK, here is load number 1. Please excuse some of the night photograhpy, but it was the best I could do.

First - this is the Calliope on display at the Tri Circle D. It is behind glass, but you can push a button and it will play a recording it has of "If you wish upon a star."

This is a model of it with horses & driver.

Someone had asked me a while back for a photo of my blue ground effect lights at night, so here it is, finally.
236.jpg

I went around & took some photos of some of the decorated campsites. I was going back to take nightime photos of some, but did not get around to all.

This was in the 400 loop. He had the lights synchonized to Michael Jackson's Thriller.

This is site 734, I think. They stay there a lot.

This is one of my neighbors in 116 (the site I usually try to get). It is right on the path to Settlement Trading Post.

This is 114 across from 116 & on the path. You probably are familiar with her. She stays there several months a year. This time she is there from October until May. She always goes all out.

Great TR!

You got some good shots of the Headless Horseman!

I saw your golf cart around the Fort.

Looking forward to more.

OK, this is some more photos. I am going to break them down into 3 posts.

This first set is a few photos of the new construction (mostly the construction wall) for the Beast's Castle (with the Be Our Guest restaurant), Ariel's Adventure and Bell's Enchanted Tales

This next set is of the new but old, Main Street Electric parade. As I said before, please excuse the blurring on some of the night shots. I had to slow my exposure speed down to try & capture the lights.

Night shots without a tripod are always a pain to get clear. I think you did well! I can hear the parade music in my head now. :yay: And I love your shot of Tink!

Ok, this is the last set.

We originally were not going to do MNSSHP, since we had done it before a few times, including the past two years, but the temptation was too great.

The first few pictures were taken while it was still daylight.

We grabbed a quick bite at Columbia Harbor House, then walked over to the Haunted Mansion.

This is the first time I had ever seen the Barber Shop Quartet dressed up and singing Grim Grinning Gosts.

This is one of the 'Hosts' who talks to you as you walk by.

And, of course, the Haunted Mansion was in full dress with lights, lightning, & fog.

Next was the Boo To You parade, which is always preceeded by the ride of the Headless Horseman.

Well, that is all. :wizard:

Great pics! Love all the night parade ones. I haven't seen either of those parades.
