First off THANKS! to all of you who helped and answered all of my questions before hand.

Second--I found the old Disney hospitality I had missed--guess it all moved over to Universal! Very organized, very helpful and not understaffed! I could go on and on about this.

Finally, we had the best time ever. I totally rode everything--usually I am worried that I won't fit so just skip out on stuff but since my lapband I have gone from a 24 to a 14 so I easily fit in everything with no worries. I had a blast and I loved being able to do everything that my 16 yo dd wanted to do. We stayed at RPH and enjoyed every minute. Did early entry HP all four mornings rode FJ 7 times total--5 times regular line and 2 times single rider. I am still in awe of how very well this was done. 3 Broomsticks was ok, hey I don't eat much so I survive on DD's table scraps--I did manage a whole cauldron cake over the course of a day though--dang those were yummy! It totally blew my mind how people were lined up for the ability to spend money--shows that they did something right here! We liked the frozen butterbeer better than the regular. I loved the pumpkin juice as well. DD and her BFF were walking past the train with their frozen butter beer when the conductor tapped them on the shoulder and gave them a lesson in how to properly drink butterbeer--hilarious!

The other mom's budget was a bit tighter than mine, so I gave up a few of the places I would have preferred to eat at. I missed out on Mythos which is very sad and after DD and I gave rave reviews of the trip to DH, he approved a do over for next year so long as he gets to go too!

I never thought I would say this, but I am kind of bummed that I have a 12 night Disney vacation followed by a 4 night Dream cruise and I can't fit another side trip to US/IOA into the mix because of a college visit crammed in between the two!

Any questions feel free to ask, I will respond if I can!

Glad you had a nice time. Are you going to do a detailed TR?

Great to see that you had a great time. Disney lovers are always surprised at just how similar USF and IOA are nowdays to their beloved WDW parks. But can I just ask, what is a cauldron cake? I must have missed them in June 2010. Are they new?

Oh, and can you go into a tiny bit more detail regarding your stay at RPR? Was it busy, could you estimate that maybe the hotel (1000 rooms) was 50% full, 75% full?

And what is the weather like in Orlando this time of year?

I have a busy week at work, but will do a detailed trip report this weekend.

RPR was sold out for the entire time we were there. We checked in on the 9th at around midnight and they did allow me to extend my check out time to 12:30 apologizing that they could not extend it until 1:30 (when we were heading back to the airport) since it was sold out agian on Sunday night. Rainy on Thursday 50's--which helped us get nearly everything done with no crowds thanks to the trusty ponchos! Friday was cool, but sunny around 60. Saturday was very nice and nearly 70, and Sunday was awesome 72, just in time for me to leave. Keep in mind I am from the Buffalo area and the weather has been exceptionally poor this winter.

Cauldren cakes are delightful cupcake concoctions available at Honeydukes. Moist chocolate cupcakes that are hallow in the center and filled with chocolate mousse. The bases are covered in choclate ganache that look like little cauldren feet, and a choclate handle is also attached. A small curl of white chocolate is places in the center of the mousse to look like a stirrer.

Dang, I missed those Cauldron cakes too---they sound delicious!! Another thing to add to my to do list next time.
