Back from the doctor. . .it's a . . .

BOY!!!!

We are so very, very excited!! Everything checked out great and looked wonderful!! It was pretty obvious to the ultrasound tech (I on the other hand never know what I'm looking at!!) that it was a boy!!!

We have had to change our names. We had a name picked for a boy that started with a "J" (actually PN96's DD's name). DH's sister is having a baby in about a week and a half. The name she has chosen starts with a "J". For various family-related reasons, we didn't want to have both of them start with a "J". So, the baby's name will be Dalton! That was my maiden name, and in a freakish (no we're NOT related) coincidence, it's DH's mom's maiden name, too.

We're so very, very excited!!! Off to look at little blue clothes now!!

Aren't those ultrasounds funny? The tech was positive that DS16 was a boy too...I saw a head, and a few other things...lots of gray...

Congrats!!!!!! there is nothing like a little boy and his mom! i love my little man. i'm so happy for you to hear that everything is going well. and what a name! i love it. now you can start talking to him with his name.
we did not find out what we were having, but the whole time i talked to him as "john". so weather it was a boy or girl our baby was going to be john!!!!!

we told this story to the nurse when we came in to have him and she said she was going to come back and see if we had the first ever girl named john!!!!! luckily- it was a boy!!!!

Thanks for all of the congratulations, everybody!! I am still on ! And I think DH & my brother are competing for who is as excited as me!!!

We watched the ultrasound again last night (they gave it to us on a DVD). The 2nd time, I could sort of see a little more, but it also helps that you can see where the tech freeze-frames, marks stuff, and then types "It's a Boy!" or labels the head, body, etc. By tonight when we watch it at my mom's, I may appear to actually know what I'm looking at!!

po3--you are so right! Last night, I would catch myself talking to the baby, saying, "Baby. . .", and then I'd think, "Wait! You have a name now!!"

We had to go to the store last night, so we looked at little baby boy clothes--so fun when you "officially" know what to look for!! I found the cutest little Pooh overalls!! I didn't buy them, but I plan to! We're off this morning to get DH's car serviced. . .with a trip to Babies R Us thrown in!!

Thanks again for sharing in our joy and for the prayers and support!! Dalton will have the best aunties EVER!!
