Had a great time but was definetly too short, especially after the 7 day cruise! Yes the Minnie soap and Donald shampoo were being used. Movies playing ..The Santa Clause 2, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Tuck Everlasting, Lilo & Stich, Signs, Monsters Inc., And Sweet Home Alabama. Met up With TownCrier & Flowerlady! Had such a nice time with them both. John, Mark said to let us know the next time "We are crusing" :teeth: The weather was great. Castaway was wonderful as always...Finally got to visit Serenity Bay.....OMG...DO NOT MISS THIS! Any other questions...just ask!

Welcome back Poohbr618!!!!

After the 7 day in January the 3day is just a teaser!!!!

Sounds like you have a good time.

Hi Patty,

Welcome back!

How was ur stateroom? We're going on our first cruise in Dec. and we're nervous about our rooms!

Any info would be HIGHLY appreciated! Thanks Patty, nice to have u back!:teeth:

 Hi Mona! Thanks for the WB!

Qj... Our stateroom was great except for the engine noise. We were in 5150 at the very back of the ship(metal Verandah) would rather have the plexiglass one. We have also stayed in a Cat 10 down on 2 and have also enjoyed that room also. Just a good thing to do is look at the location of your room. Make sure your not under a restaurant or one of the bars. Movement seems to be the same in all places of the ship. Hope this helps.

Just back also. We were on the same cruise with poohbr and got to meet briefly before embarkation. Weather was absolutely wonderful, if not just a little cool on Thursday. The other days were warm and sunny. Palo was fabulous as it always is, and Voku our waiter was awesome as was the food. We spent some time with Towncrier and his lovely wife at the CC reception. I agree, 3 days was too short, but did tire me out. Our next cruise will definitely be a 7 day, probably w/o children. Maybe in 2004?

Thanks Patty for the tip! I didn't even think about the noise factor! I'll double check w/ them! Thanks again!

The cruise was way too short for a veteran of two 7-day trips. But we had a wonderful time. Especially with our DIS friends (including IleneF).

Patty - You can tell Mark that he can unpack his bags. I think that we're going to have to save up for that 7-day western cruise.

We were the 2nd family through customs. There were 2700 passengers on our cruise. 1100 of them were children. Thirty percent were Castaway Club members. And there were 6900 bags in the customs area when we left the ship. The tag on our bag had been torn off in the shuffle, but it was right where it was supposed to be in the terminal. Kudos to DCL for figuring out which bag was ours.

We made it to the airport in record time (thanks to the DCL bus), checked our bags, and headed down to Dollar for a rental car (which turned out to be a Gold PT Cruiser). We headed over to Epcot for some food and wine. We were able to spend nearly 4 hours at the park before we headed back to the airport and our 3:25PM flight.

We arrived home at 10AM this morning. Our plane was caught in the line of thunderstorms that shut down air travel over most of the US yesterday. Our plane was not able to land in Ohio, so we were diverted to Pittsburgh where Sue and I spent the night. The airline put us on a bus at 7AM and we joked away during the two hour trip back to Ohio. I only wish that I had a poster board and a marker so that I could have made a big "GroundTran Flight 202" sign to hang on the bus.

It's good to be home.

great post.....:D
what a nightmare return home for you though....
we got caught in orlando airport for 3 hours during the most increcible lightening storm ever (even for orlando)...
i felt sorry for the people stuck out on the planes sitting outside who couldn't come into the terminal or take off.....not the place i'd want to be in that sound and light show.....
nature in all her glory...
