We had a blast! Hope to have more time to write a more detailed account soon. Here is the brief run down. If you have any questions just ask.

Day 1 - We opted to fly into SNA on 10/9. Rented a car and drove to Hollywood. I didn't think the traffic was bad at all. It was hot. We parked right near the Chinese theater and walked around. Walked to In & Out burger on Sunset Blvd. They were crazy busy but it was good. We had the burgers and fries animal style. Walked around some more and looked at walk of fame stars, the prints in front of Chinese theater, photo op with Hollywood sign in background and went in the Hard Rock Cafe gift shop for pins (something my late brother started years ago that my son keeps going).

We then drove to Anaheim to check in. Stayed at Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn and it is right across the street from the DL entrance. Nice place with a nice breakfast each morning.

We walked to DTD that evening for dinner (we didn't realize we could go in through the resort entrance and followed the signs for car parking/was a long walk needless to say).

More to come......

Did you get to check out the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel? That's the one that looks like the Tower of Terror on the inside. At least in it's present state.

No. Had never heard of it. It was hot and we were all tired (flew out of Atlanta at 0630 EST) and a lady walked down the walk of fame ranting and screaming at people and scared my daughter to death so we even forgot to go see the tar pits.

We ate dinner at Tangaroa Terrace at DL resort. Was very cool sitting out on the patio overlooking the pools there with all the torches burning at night. Quick service but they had good flatbreads. Explored a little around DTD and watched some of the performers and made a couple purchases before calling it a night......we took the much shorter way back to the hotel. We did stop at cold stone creamery for ice cream and could see the DL fireworks from their patio. The regular fireworks show was so short I was glad I hadn't opted to add a day to our tickets just to go in and see them. It wasn't more than six minutes long.
