I just wanted to share our pleasant experience with our first DVC trip. We had a 6 night trip booked to use up some of our developer points. Unfortunately b/c of President's Week, we could only get a 3 night stay at SSR in a 1 bdr.

We arrived at SSR around 1 pm after a 5 day Carnival cruise. My entire family had been hit with a nasty cold/fever/virus during the cruise & weren't feeling well at all. (We have 3 boys ages 5,3 & 2.) We just happened to arrive at the same time as the DCL bus so check in was busy. A supervisor came over to apologize for the delay & ask if we had any questions. I asked about check in time since I was concerned about getting a room right away & letting the boys get some rest. The supervisor went off to look to see if she help get us a room immediately. She came back with an offer to upgrade us to a BCV Studio Concierge for the 3 nights of our stay. I declined b/c family were dropping us off & I didn't want to inconvenience them any further & I thought we could probably use the extra space in the one bedroom. She then came back with a room ready in the Springs for us. It turned out to be a wonderful location with a great view. I wasn't really expecting to like SSR this much but I loved it & even more shocking was that my husband thought it was fabulous too. So all in all, a great stay. :)

Sorry to hear that you guys were ill, but I am happy that you had such a wonderful experience at my home resort. We're leaving for it in just a few hours!!!

Glad to hear that things worked out in the end... SSR can be a beautiful and restfull resort.. sounds like you have your hands full with 3 young boys... enjoy... they grow so fast.. :wizard:

We also just had our first welcome home around President's day weekend ... to top that off, we were also coming off of a cruise (a 4-day DCL). We were in a standard studio at Boardwalk (amazing how 4 days of being in a stateroom changes your perspective about how large a studio is).

Fortunately no illness (other than some Tea Cup induced nausea for my DW).
