Hi!

Well, we got back home last night after 2 days of traveling that ended in a snowstorm but all is well now ;)

We had a wonderful time at RPR for our first stay onsite. We originally booked 4 nights starting Feb 27 and 2 days offsite to cut our expenses (we need 2 rooms as we have 4 kids) but we were so comfortable and we love it so much that we ended up staying the 6 nights onsite :rotfl:

What can I say about RPR? Very nice, big and comfortable hotel. Impeccable service from everyone we saw (especially Adrienne at guest services who found availability for our last 2 nights when we were told there was none to begin with...) and location, location, location! It was SUCH a pleasure to be able to walk for 10 minutes and be in the parks! We just loved it :cloud9:

We had connecting rooms on the 2nd floor (1218 and 1220) and we found it very quiet and convenient. I think my kids were probably making the most noise...

We had a great time at both IOA and US, we had the good fortune of being the chosen family at Superhero Island and we got to meet ALL the superheros at once, talk to them and get our picture taken with all of them, this was a real treat!

I loved WWoHP and especially FJ. I could've ridden that ride many more times ;) The whole world of Hogsmeade (sp?) had a very special feeling. Only tried the frozen butterbeer and we all loved it.

We enjoyed the privileges of the FOTL tremendously, as well as the ability to get to WWoHP an hour earlier. There was little wait most of the days we made it early, although FJ was showing a wait time of 45 minutes when we got there around 8:20 on our last morning. I guess the park got busy that day since they were installing gates at the entrance of WWoHP. We gave up on FJ that morning...

Thanks to everyone, we got refills in our 1999 Superheros Sipster. At 0.85$, this was a great deal!

I also need to mention the Island dinning room at RPR. We had breakfast there on our first morning ($$$ but good) and the kids had such a blast in the kids' dinning room. This place is just perfect for them!

Thanks to everyone for your advice and pointers. It made our trip very special! :thumbsup2

Wow! Sounds like you had a great time.

I'm leaving next week and I'm a bit worried about those "gates" you were refering to at WWoHP. Thank goodness we'll be onsite at RPR too for FotL for the other attractions.

I don't know anything about this family of the day at Super Hero Island. Can you give more details?

Don't worry about WWoHP, just make it early on the mornings you want to go there (try to be there before 8am, which is when they let you in) and you'll do fine. I suspect Friday was busier because many people start their week at WDW and then move to IOA/US for the end of their vacation. We went to WWoHP early on Tuesday and Wednesday and it was great. Make sure to do Ollivander first if you want to try it because the line gets long when the "general public" gets in :rotfl2:

The "family of the day" thing happened by chance alone. I didn't even know they did that and I don't know that they do it every day. We just happened to be there when the superheros were doing a kind of parade on quads down the street, then they each get to a spot where you can go get autographs and pictures with them. My dh went to get pics with the kids as I was busy upgrading his ticket :lmao: then we got back together next to the store where you can go get your picture taken with Spiderman. As we were getting ready to move along, a character handler came to us and asked if we'd been able to see and meet all the superheros. We told him yes and then he asked if we would be interested to have a private meeting with all of them at once after they were due with their meet-and-greet time. We said yes, of course!

He then asked us to wait a little bit next to Dr Doom's ride and then, when all the superheros came back on their quads, they parked them and we had some time with them. It was great! I'll post the pic as soon as I can get them uploaded ;)

Have a great trip! Wish I was still there instead of burried in snow...

So, can you refill an old Universal Studios plastic refillable mug for 85 cents? We may have one from 2004 so will it work?
