I wanted to come back & post my thanks for those who answered questions on my previous posts and offered advice. DH & I stayed at RPR 12/12-12/15 & visited both parks a few times.

Dined at Cowfish, Mythos, Three Broomsticks, Leaky Cauldron, Jake's (at the resort) and a few others. Enjoyed everything, esp Cowfish & Mythos! Got to see/ride/experience everything we wanted, rode some things multiple times, others were a "one & done" but glad we got to take it all in.

Was surprised at the amount of standing involved (ex. Poseidon's Fury), this was tough on my DH due to some back issue. I am a plus-sized person and have some motion issues, was able to ride everything except Forbidden Journey. Could have done so (size wise) but chickened out right when I was going to board, so I waited for DH to enjoy it.

Saw Mannheim Steamroller on the 13th, we met a sign language interpreter earlier in the day who asked if we were going to attend (DH is deaf), she made sure we knew where to stand for the show. Despite the rain, it was a great time.

Was surprised at the areas I didn't think we'd spend much time (like Seuss Landing) but we loved it! The theming, bright colors, shops and character meets were fun and entertaining. Enjoyed the night time show/fireworks.

Unfortunately we had difficulties at the hotel, we didn't get the accessibility room we booked, then never gave my husband the accessibility items (door knocker, lighted smoke detector) he needed to be in the room alone. Despite going down to the front desk every single day, we'd come back to find it not in the room. Would call down & get the same answer, that someone would help the next day...rinse, repeat. I've since left a long & detailed complaint via the email they sent me after our stay. We (after the first day) did keep track of who we spoke with each time so they could address it further.

Anyway, wanted to say thanks again!!

That's so bizarre! The hotels are usually so good with accommodations. I was under the impression that all of the smoke detectors were light activated detectors but not sure about the doorbells. Keep on them until you get your answers.
