It was very interesting to do the 9/25 and 9/28 cruises on the Wonder.

I kept checking with Guest Services to see if I had to leave the ship. I didn't have to, but I did anyway since DH was arriving earlier than I thought that he would. (I did the 9/25 cruise with friends, DH came for the four day.)

Guest Services took my luggage on the morning of the 28th. I did get a letter saying that I could stay onboard but there would be no services in operation.

As it turned out, DH and I were first on line. I had no idea that some people take that spot a bit too seriously. The people who came shortly after us must be the "first arrival pros" and they told us in no uncertain terms that we were in the wrong place, so we moved. Guess what? We were at the right spot to begin with so we moved back. A little "told you so" slipped out.;)

Over the course of the two cruises, I saw Golden Mickeys 3 times. It's stupendous, spectacular, outstanding, incredible, fantastic and awesome. I hope that it's on the Magic soon.

And now I'm back in NY with the heat on. Brrr.....who turned on the fridge while we were gone???:p

Although what I really want to talk DH into is a back to back seven day..eastern then western.. however since we have to cough up $4000.00 Monday morning for the sprinkler system to rescue our dead lawn a back to back for now is just a dream!
welcome home

Reg,

Welcome back! Glad to hear you had a good time. Wow the Golden Mickey's sound wonderful. We won't see them for over a year, but it sounds like it will be worth the wait!

I did not realize someone besides me & Taswira were on the same back to backs. We also had a blast and saw Goden Mickey's a couple of times ( what do you think about Tarzan ?).
I celebrated my birthday on the 9/25 cruise, so I had tons of pixie dust thrown my way the entire 7 days. Back to the real world now - I had to go to work Fri with a pile of paperwork on my desk.
Oh Well

Welcome back, Regina. Glad you had such a good time. :)

Were you ever able to trip Tarzan when he ran past you? :goodvibes

... and happy belated raison64

Was Fidelio on the Wonder?

Rae

Glad to see you had a wonderful time Reg. Glad to have you home.

Tarzan is mighty fine. :teeth: I was tempted to tackle him, but I settled on simply enjoying his performance. :earseek:

Rae, no Fidelio. We did go to Dueling Pianos once during a family performance, and the room was packed. DH and I agreed that while they were fine, we much prefer Fidelio and Anton.

The four day cruise was for DH's 50th birthday celebration. He had a wonderful time.:boat:

Welcome home! So glad to hear you had a nice trip and got to see GM so many times! Now I'm even more excited to see it in a couple months!

Just to say that we did a back to back cruise in Feb this year, going to the Western Caribbean first. Cant tell you how wonderful it was! We watched the guests disembark in Cape Canaveral, and had a lovely feeling - as we were on board for another week!Anyone wanting info regarding 14 day Magic cruise - I would be glad to help. Would do it all again tomorrow! Was very funny when some of the crew recognized us from the previous week, and thought we were stowaways! Oh, the memories..................:Pinkbounc

natdencro...
what did you do between disembarkation time and embarkation time? Did you stay on the ship? If so, what did you see/do/experience? To me, that would be the coolest thing!!

Regina Welcome back. Isn't this NY weather wonderful?So- where is the best place to sit to if I want to get a good view of Tarzan running down the aisle?
natdencro I'd love to hear about the 14 day cruise details.

Hi OhioMinnie! No, we disembarked at CC between cruises, and took a taxi to Merrit Island Mall, which is approx 15mins away. We could have stayed aboard but being English, we like to shop "American syle" when possible! "Back to back" cruisers have to be off the ship by 10.00 if they do want to get their "Land legs" back, and cant embark again until 12.00 along with new guests. We also upgraded to another cabin for our second week, and had different servers, which was great, as you meet new crew members. Anyway, it was fun embarking again for the second week, and joining all the excited cruisers in the terminal! Plus: you get ANOTHER photo as you board!Happy hols!

That's worth disembarking for! I love that picture!

You are very lucky to have been able to do 2 7-day B2Bs. Where you scheduled to stay in the same cabin before you made the switch? What Category did you stay each time?

We were on the Sept. 28th sailing too...not a back to back tho'....
LOVED Golden Mickeys too! Wished we'd seen it one more time...but I had to put in my 2 cents about TARZAN! OMG.
I was speechless. After returning to work today, I'd forgotten all about him. Thanks for the memory!!!
