Well we had a real whirlwind trip down to watch DD run in the Half-Marathon. The marathon is simply amazing. We drove over to Epcot on Saturday, when the half was run, and arrived just as the first wave was leaving. There were somewhere in the range of 16,000-17,000 runners in that one race with a similar number on Sunday for the full. We took the monorail over to MK to see her make the turn and after seeing her took it back to see the finish. The energy and enthusiasm was fantastic. DD said WDW did a fantastic job organizing the runners and the start was something she will remember a long time.
We stayed at All-Star Music this time paying cash. Wow, I sure am spoiled by DVC that is for sure. It was mighty hard going back and staying at an All-Star and I don't think we'll do it again. I don't want to sound like a snob or anything, but DVC accomadations really spoil you for staying anywhere cheaper. We only went to Epcot. Visited a little on Friday and more on Saturday evening after DD had rested up some.
Anyway, for those interested, I posted a few photos of the Marathon. Here is the link -
