I tried to limit myself and didn't do too bad, the Disney ornaments are very cute. I'll have to wait and buy some later or maybe I'll just put them on my xmas list and hope Santa is good to me :D

These are the ones I bought today:

And a couple of non-Disney that I couldn't resist:

What did you buy?

Oooh - I *love* the snowman with Mickey hat!!! I must go get that one.

Any new patriotic ones this year?

I read the subject line and thought........... :earseek:

:teeth:

Looks like some nice ones, Janette.

I have a great local Hallmark store that allows us to put ornaments in lay-a-way so I put all 21 that I wanted this year in. Since they give me a percentage off I figure why not do it all at once. Ornaments are my only collection. I love them!!!

Thanks, janette. After my first reply I went straight to the Hallmark website. I found a few I'll have to buy:

And I haven't even checked out the Disney ones yet! I collect Disney, patriotic and snowmen. I think I'm in trouble. :p ;)

I went to the Ornament Premiere also. The ornaments I bought were: Sorcerer Mickey and Winnie the Pooh putting angel wings on Eeyore Disney ornaments, Kirsten with horse brush American Girl ornament, and the Nature's Sketchbook Watering Can ornament.

I also got the Mickey & Minnie treat jar.

I was also able to reserve the Tinker Bell ornament for the next ornament showing in October.

All in all, I reall like the ones that I bought!!! They're really cute!!! :teeth: :hyper:

this morning..lol!..we have 3 hallmark stores locally..but the one on our downtown mall is the least shopped..and the earliest opener at 9:00!..I had turned in my list back in May..they had all my ornaments bagged and ready to check and put on layaway..since it's a smaller Hallmark store..they don't make you put down 20% like the bigger stores do..I had $208 worth (plus 3 that don't come out till Oct) and I only put down $20...nice to know that they are there and can sit and wait for me till Dec 1st....there are some really cute ones this year..the Mickey 'snowman' is the cutest!...

Very cute! I like the snowman with the Mickey Mouse ears. I may have to buy that one. I always buy a new ornament or two each year and let dd's pick one out for their own tree someday!

My favorite non-disney is the the cookie jar series with the little ornaments. I can't wait to see that one this year.:D

I did not buy any today, but want the snowman Mickey and the Tinkerbell one

I never really paid attention to them, but I looked at the link you posted and some of them are really cute! I love that snowman Mickey one and a few non-Disney ones. Thanks for the link. After the movies tomorrow maybe we'll stop by the store and see what they have. :)

What does the patriotic ones look like? Does that represent all four branches of service? Its the first one on your left.

I bought way too many today. I just had to have the Mickey and Minnie baking cookie ornaments and the Pooh train one. DD likes Pooh and DH likes trains. Bought him the Lionel train which had three parts. I have the little Women set so I had to buy Amy and I collect carousel horses so of course I had to start the carousel series. seems like there was another one as well. I had to get the treat jar which DH laughted at me when I came in with it. And of course I am going to Bronner's in two weeks so I feel that today was just the tip of the iceberg.

I really like the Pooh train also, I'm hoping I can get it after xmas though. If it starts looking like they are going to run out I'll pick it up.

I also want the Pluto (it's coming in Oct) & the Oven that will go with Mickey / Minnie and the cookies but with a $25 price tag I may have to go without the oven unless it's left after.

Shhhhhhhhhhhh. Don't tell my SO. After 10% discount from being a frequent shopper at my local Hallmark, and $30 in Gold Crown coupons, I spent almost $400. I just couldn't limit myself. Can I justify my spending spree by saying 10 of the ornaments are gifts? I have always given my nieces and nephews a couple of special ornaments every year. One nephew has every hot wheels and GI ornament ever made. He is now 16 and still looks forward to them. And, I just had to get the Italy Santa to send to a friend in Italy. OK, I admit, the rest are for me, including the treat jar. Most are Disney, but I love the Polar Express story and we display the book as a decoration so I NEEDED the bell. But it was a fun trip!

& we let each of our dd's pick out an ornament.

DD4 picked the princesses w/ the castle & dd2 picked "It's a Small World".

I picked the "that Holy Night" 3 piece set.

I was glad our dd's were with us as I could have spent SO much more.

I did see the Buzz ornament & it looks like the one we "made" from a toy set that we bought @ Target on sale last year.

I browsed online, and there are SO MANY that I like. I think DH is going to take me to Hallmark tomorrow. The trick will just be controlling myself so I don't buy them all. :teeth:

Cindy - all I've seen is the picture I posted but it looks like there is room for 2 more figures to complete the circle so I assume it represents all 5 branches of the military (including the Coast Guard). The one I got last year represents all 5 branches around an American flag that can be raised and lowered.

The patriotic ones go fast around here. Last year my local store had to call several other stores before locating the one I wanted and that was within a couple of weeks of the premiere weekend. I'd better get myself to the store today if I want it.

If I am able to buy it today I'll report back in and let you know if I'm right about it representing all 5 branches.

We have lots of stores here (although the # of locally owned has declined) , Mervyns & Kohls also carry the ornaments so I have pretty good luck at finding ornaments that can be harder to find. I try to watch the boards at www.yulelog.com so that I know when something is close to selling out, worked last year with the Nemo ornament and I was able to find one at a Kohls in Nov.

If anyone needs something just let me know and I'll attempt to find it here and mail it to you. I try to wait until after the holidays to buy most of mine but it is a gamble.

I could have gone nuts, but I only bought 2 ornaments, the Mickey & Minnie baking and M&M in the car. I loved the oven and the pooh train and the Mickey ears snowman. I also came home with the treat jar and the ornament wreath.
