Back from FIRST visit from Coronado Springs Resort!

We are staying at CSR in March 2008. It will be our first time to CSR. There are 11 of us going. My sister has 2 young kids, she is concerned about being able to get milk and/or juice for in the room at night for the kids. Is there somewhere at CSR that these items can be purchased? It is -5 here in MN this morning, I am so looking forward to a break from the cold in March.

Hi jmbadavis:
CSR has a small market where you can purchase milk, drinks, packaged sandwiches, danishes, etc. The small refrigerators in the room will hold quite a bit of stuff. Also, they have a walk-up window just outside Pepper Market (their version of a food court) where you can purchase limited items. Check out Buzz's website for pics and other ideas. Enjoy your vacation, you'll be there before you know it!http://coronado_springs.tripod.com/

When will I know what rooms we have at CSR? Do they send me that information in a packet when I get luggage tags? I read where we will receive information in the mail at 45 days b4 going. What all is in this packet? Also, can I call and request certain rooms? What about adjoining rooms, do they have any of those?

You won't know until you check in. That's how it works at Disney.

Have a great trip!

they do have what they call JR suites in various buildings and they are like adjoing rooms only one room has a murphy bed, and the other oom has either a king or doubles.

This is true but it is cheaper to get two adjoining rooms.

jmbadavis,
It is true you never know anything for certain until check in. However, when you make your reservation you should request which building you would like to be in, and request adjoining rooms. It never hurts to call CSR directly about 4 days ahead of time and verify your request is noted.
The packet you receive from disney before your trip should have your hotel confirmation, package confirmation details and magical express tickets.
BTW, 4 degrees in NH this morning, burrrrr!

It's good to put in a request when you book your room but that still won't guarantee that you'll get it. And I don't think you can call CSR directly, you get CRO.

Hi Lilolvr-
Correct, I didn't mean to imply you'd get your request - a request is what it is, just a request :)
I did call CSR directly when I verified our request was on file - I got their number online and verified I had reached the Coronado Springs front desk when I called. I'm not saying that helped, but I've seen other people suggest it because the reservation list for each hotel doesn't come through directly to that hotel until about 5 days before your stay.
I just tried whatever I could, and we did get our requested building (Cabanas 8a) during that stay, so we were all very happy about that!

You can purchase milk and juice from there.
If you have an idea of what section you want put a request in. We requested 9b. We got it and it was perfect for us.

Have a great time!!!:goodvibes

I just came back from a short stay there too. I posted my own post in this section, but I have to agree with you, it was a great resort and I wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

I will have to see if we can stay in Cabanas section next time. We were in Casitas, which I had heard smelled like smoke from some, but we didn't notice any smells at all! And I know my allergies and nose would have known, I can't take any kinds of smoke smells.

Glad you had a great stay!!
