Back from first trip

Just got back from 6 nights at the DLH, lots of construction, and extra walking but very magical and quiet. We had an amazing time, so sad to wake up in my boring bedroom, haha. We did reserved seating for Fantasmic, it was great but didn't find it worth the money. Same goes for Ariels Grotto. Our DD (5) was amazing, she went on everything and loved it. First ride was Space mountain and she rode it 3 times in a row, her favorite ride was T of T, DH was more afraid of it than her.
Spent 15 minutes with Eeyore and our best meal and service was at Ralph Brennans. Thanks to all whose posts helped us make this trip such a success, it wouldn't have been half as much fun with out your advice. Already planning our next trip!

Did you do a character meal at Ariels? I'd be interested in hearing more about that! Why did you not find it worth the money? I'd love to hear more details about EVERTHING!! I'm living vicariously through everyone else as I count down the days until our first Disney trip!!

Glad you had a great time! We took DD6 for her first trip in February and she was awesome and also loved everything (even Screamin'!) She breaks into
"remember at Disneyland" all the time!

Funny with planning teh next trip, we were the same way after taking the family for the first time 2 years ago. We are now going again in oct...what hotel you stay at? We stayed at the howard johnson and are staying there again, loved it. Got a rental car for the whole time as well.
