Back from first trip to OKW!

We're back! We were so satisfied and the minute I walked into the 2 bdrm villa at OKW, I said "Well, looks like we're gonna need to buy more points!" We loved every minute of it! (Which is a good thing because the trip down was terrible, 2 blow outs an hour apart!) The only reason I could stand to leave was knowing that we have reservations for December! One trip down and our DVC is 1/3 paid for! We are going to fly next time as we also were involved in a 4 car accident in Georgia on the way home. (not our fault, and we had the least damage...only a fat, bruised lip for me. The other people had to go to the hospital)
Anyway, I loved it and can't recommend it enough!

It's such a great feeling to know that there's always a "next time" in the not too distant future.

mtdewhead - sorry to hear your trip ended with an accident! We just got back from OKW Friday and as always it was terrific. We won't be able to get back down for at least a year. What building were you in? Tell us more about your first impressions of OKW.

Sorry from here too about the accident! Glad you're okay!

We just arrived home on Friday as well - unit 2620, a studio. We took advantage of Southwest's Friends Fly Free special for August, so thankfully have a quick trip planned to help with the withdrawal.

mtdewhead: Glad you were pleased with OKW on your first trip. I am so sorry about your accident and the two flat tires. Glad you and your family are ok. I would also like to know what building you stayed in.

Thank God everyone is fine. I hate flying, but I really don't know whats worse, driving or flying. I have not stayed at OKW but we have been on a waiting list for a while to add-on there. I am so happy when I hear everyones first impression of each and any resort for first timers.

We were in 2830. The whole family loved it! I might request building 23 next time though..a little closer to the bridge/pool/HH. If we only had a little bridge across from us that went into the vollyball court it would have been perfect. Not that Im complaining..we loved the walk over to HH too. We never waited for more than 5 minutes for a bus and the water taxi to Downtown Disney was always on time. We ate at Olivia's one night and the food was very good. My DH loved the strawberry daquri's while poolside and the hamburgers were great from the snack bar. My kids really loved the day we spent at the pool and there was a DJ, pool games, limbo and alot of fun! I can't wait to get back!

(The accident was caused by a sudden rain storm north of Macon, in rush hour, Friday evening. They had too much speed and not enough stopping distance...the third car involved hit the first two and bounced into us.)

I'm counting the minutes until December !!!!
