We just got back last night after a horrific trip with Delta(will never fly them again). We had a great time at DLR and I will post a trip report later. We won dream fast passes and dream ears on our second day with in a few hours of each other.:dance3:

Congrats on the fast passes, etc.!!!

can I ask a question??

What is the reccomended time to spend in Anahiem (DL) as we would be travelling from Scotland (13 hour flight) we are waiting until our DD is 10 so we can incorporate San Fransisco, maybe Vegas (18 night trip) ?
Since childhood ive always wanted to make the "pilgrimage" to where it all started and want to spend a decent amount of time in DL. Also, what is time distance if you wanted to visit Bev Hills/Hollywood area??

Sorry for sounding so dense, but can get my head around the size of your amazing country!!

We spent 6 days in Anaheim this time then on to L.A. and it was good for us. The drive to Hollywood took us about 45 minutes in traffic. Our country is large compared to yours.

What are the ages of your kids? Last I went (two years ago), I had an almost five year old, a 3 year old, and a 3 month old.

We had my mom with us and she took the two younger kids back to the room for naps. We spent a little time at the pool at Hojo's. We had five days in the park and I think it was just enough time to do everything we wanted to do.

If you don't have kids with you, I think three days would be plenty, but if you're a REAL Disney freak, more is always better.

My big dream is to go to Scotland someday (great grandparents on both sides came from Scotland). Lucky you.:)

I would say around 6 days would be a nice length of time. Time enough to leisurely do the DL,DCA,DTD and several nice to do things like ~ Aladin show, the new Pirate Island, the parades, fireworks and FantasMic. Alot depends on how busy the parks are when you go. Have fun planning. I have been to Scotland visiting relatives ~ never saw Nessie but maybe someday ;) It was very beautiful and the people were wonderful.

Hi Askthe chief!

thanks so much for your reply! yeah scotland is a great place to live!! right now its half past midnight and my double glazed windows and patio doors are about to take flight!!! 2 degrees above freezing! - result!

Our daughter is 7 now, but will wait 3 yrs as I dont think at 7 or 8 she will appreciate San fran or vegas, i am a travel agent and send prob 200-300 people every year to US (im a big supporter)

Absolutely love the US, would move there if didnt have fam commitments!!
DH is electronic design engineer - designs ipods, phones, new playstation!!!! offered colorado re-location but I cannot take the leap!!!

still love visiting!

Great grandmother in-law DOES NOT regret "Taking the leap"... oh, she'd love to sit and chat it up with you for hours!!! I can barely understand her she has such an accent! (dont feel dense BTW... people who live in Northern California have the same questions about Southern California!) HAVE FUN!
