We were there from Tuesday - Friday last week, lovely hotel, we stayed at the Cheyene, so clean, food great, we went half board and ate there every night. Staff were friendly aswell.

I got lots of admirers, I haev a bright green phil & teds double buggy, one child on top and another underneath, so many people asked us about it:rotfl:

Spent up, spoilt our 3 kids rotten. Our 4 yr old got very ill while there though, think he brought a nasty virus with him from school, he was ill from wed night, spent all day thursday in bed bless him. Now we are home and all 3 children and I have it, hubby is fine though, grrrr:rotfl2:

Really nice place, we had a fab day wednesday, we were gutted we didn't get a full day thursday so we are going to book again for next year but will probably go May time when its a tad bit warmer. Weather was lovely wed & thursday though, it peed down tuesday, we were soaked.

Does anyone know when you can book for next year?

The 2008 brochure should be out about September :)

Hope you are all feeling better soon  Sounds like you had a fantastic time

Glad you had a great time Cherry3.
I am very interested to see if you have got any top tips to pass on becasue we are off tomorrow until Friday and are also staying at the Cheyenne.
I have a 4 yr old boy (who is quite scared of rides) and a 21 month old boy who just loves danger!
Anything your kids loved doing or tips to make life easier?
Thanks in advance

hiya,

We have a 2 boys age 4 & 3 and a daughter who is 17 months old, and to be honest it wasn't as difficult as i imagined.

The Cheyene is fab, very good for families, the food is great and the staff are so helpful.

The bus takes 2 mins to get to the station (you get off at the station and walk into disney which is right by the station) or if you fancy a walk there are signs at the cheyene which direct you to disney, about a 15 min walk and the walk is lovely.

My tips would be,

Go to breakfast as early as possible, do not go at 8am, its crazy!!! Reception will give you a card to chose your time for breakfast every morning of your stay, deffinatly go between 7-7.45am, or at 10am when its quieter again. We went at 7.45am, was ok, 8am was mental ad 7am which was very v ery quiet:goodvibes

For evening meal you have to book, 6.15pm is the best time to eat, anytime nearer 7pm then its packed and very stressful with children.

The disney village has lots of lovely shops to spoil the kids, the disney studios to be honest we didn't get much time to go around but we did try and the kids were abit young for it in my opinion so we stayed in the main park. The main parks is all close together but the best rides (esp for boys) are in discovery land I think it was, the buzz ride was my boys favourite. Fantasty land has rides suitable for children mainly so thats a good one to go to.

If you are flying out, we flew to Charles de gaulles airport (think thats right, lol) and we then got the disney shuttle outside the airport, cost us 58 euros for a family of 5 each way, abit pricey, not sure if a taxi would be cheaper and alot quicker.

Have a fun trip:yay:

Thanks Cherry all great advice.
Quick question did you find the bus at the airport OK and did you have to wait long? we are coming into Term 3.
What was the food like at the Cheyenne?
Did you take pushcahirs for your older kids? if I take 2 is there somewhere I can lock one up?
Thanks Im really excited now!

Thanks:banana:

The food at the Cheyene is fab, really nice and lots of choice esp for the kids.

Yes you come out of terminal 3 and right outside there is a taxi rank and bus shelters, walk down to the end and that is where the bright red disney buses stop. You pop your luggage underneath in the bus then hop on and pay for your journey. Really easy to find, you can't miss those buses:rotfl:

I took a double buggy which I used all the time we were there, im not sure you could lock one up anywhere but you could as at the main gate, im sure there must be a place.

Have a nice time.
