i wanted to add one more thing about the contempo cafe.... they now have self ordering kiosks where you order your meals yourself using a touch screen, grab your drinks, pay at the register and then they give you a pager to let you know when your food is ready and you pick it up. One of the CM's working in the dining area told me that when they went to the self ordering they changed the meal selections to make the process flow better and faster and that they had been getting a lot of negative feedback about it.
I think the CM was wrong. They have had self ordering kiosks since the Contempo Cafe opened. The "new menu" has been the same since it opened. Pretty much ALL the items are a change from when it was the Food and Fun center located downstairs. Back then, it used to be the standard "burgers, chicken strips, pizza, fries" that you could get from "the grill". When they renovated and reopened as Contempo, they revamped the ENTIRE menu.
I think whenever they put in self ordering kiosks, people complain. People will always complain. If there are people that you have to order from, it requires more staffing, and the lines will be longer, and then people will complain that it takes too long to get their food. When you put in machines, people all of a sudden become brain dead, and cannot figure out how to use a touch screen to order using pictures and words...

To be honest, I was slightly confused as to the PROCEDURE on the first day. I agree that a basic SIGN or a CM posted at the entrance to explain the procedure:
1. Order from the kisok
2. Obtain your receipt
3. Choose items from the self serve area and pay
4. Receive pager from CASHIER
5. Retrieve food from counter when pager goes off
I wasn't sure if I was supposed to give the receipt to the people at the grill counter, and they would give me the pager, or what. I didn't know that I would get the pager from the cashier. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to wait at the counter for the food, or pay first. So, I agree that it's a bit confusing the first time, because there is no instructions as to how it works, and no one to explain things.
BUT, the menu is posted very clearly on the televised screens as you enter, so it's not like you have no idea what they serve. Then, I found the kiosks very easy to order from, allowing LOTS of variations on each item (allowing, for example, to put the dressing on the side for salads, substitutions for sides, adding or removing toppings from sandwiches, etc.).
I actually prefer kiosks to people, because you can be SURE your order is correct (you can see it). And if it's wrong, you can FIX IT yourself before submitting it.
