We usually stay at the Contemporary but due to construction, decided to try the CBR. I got exactly what I wanted as far as room - Trinidad north, 1st floor, water view, near smoking spot for the husband. Perfect.

It is a very pretty resort. And it we rarely ever saw another human except when in the food court or at the bar. Very quite. The busses were great, never waited more than 3 minutes and yes, I timmed them since I saw negative posts about disney transport. Busses never too crowed either.

My only gripe is the room itself. A bit small and please get rid of the double beds. I wanted a King but apparently prefered water view rooms only have doubles ( I find this odd). Double beds way too small. Disney world is such a huge area and there is a ton of surrounding acreage that adding a few extra feet to rooms would be nice in the future. Room also looked a bit outdated as did the exterior. Update is needed, or at least some new paint.

Husband did not like as much as the contemporary so will probably not stay at CBR again. Will wait to go again until Contemporary is back to its full glory. We did go to the Poly for dinner a few times and to visit since the grounds are very pretty. Is the poly the main children hotel? Wow, hundreds of screaming children at all times. I watch a screaming child throw a fork at it's dad while in Ohana's. Love Ohana's food but the noise of children screaming all during dinner was unpleasant. I am thankful the CBR was not like that. Husband has declared we will never stay at the Poly due to the fact that it seems to be the children hotel.

I'd like to stay at the Contemporary some time, maybe one day. We stayed at the CBR 11 years ago in Trinidad North. We loved it!

I'm pretty sure the rooms are smaller because it's a moderate resort, we've stayed at CBR and POR and the rooms were same in size. They're less expensive than CR so they'll be smaller.

Funny you mention how quiet CBR was....when we were there, the only people we saw were grounds keepers. LOL

I actually thought that the rooms were a great size, but then again, I havent stayed deluxe yet =)

We stayed at Poly 10/3-10/12 and yes there were alot of kids there but more so families come eat there. The resrt was not bad although since your at Disney you should expect to see many children :rolleyes1 .
