I am just back from 5 great days at WDW!

I arrived on Saturday and stayed one night at OKW. I was in a studio room #2820. Second floor of building 28. It was nice, clean and convenient to the hub of OKW. Only one cleaning item got to me. When you turned on the shower, the hair had not been cleaned from the tub from the previous visitors. Yuck! :scared:

On Sunday, I had my luggage transferred to BCV. The cast member said it would be between 1 and 3 before the luggage got there. I went to BCV by way of the boat through DTD and picked up the bus to BCV. I got there and checked in by 12:30 and the room, much to my surprise, was ready! :goodvibes When I got to the room and I called the luggage storage, WOW, my luggage was already there also! It was a great day for a move.

BCV was great. I had Room 373 right on the river and right by the access road. The noise was not too bad. The balcony looked at the tops of "The Land" and the EPCOT ball. Not bad. I found no problems with the room at all.

The only thing I can't get used to is the A/C system. At home I like to run the fan all night, and here you just cannot do that unless you turn the A /C down to 64!

I did have quite a walk from the main elevators to the room, but found the elevator in the middle of the building. It came out beside the pool and I only had to walk around the pool to get to the bus access area.

I was going to eat dinner on my last night at the California Grill on top of the Contemporary Resort. I was running a little late after spending the day at MK. Walking through EPCOT to catch the Monorail OR riding the bus to DTD and catching the bus, both felt like it might take me too long to get to my PS. I went to the front of the BCV and asked the price of a cab to the Contemporary. About that time, a limo pulled up and the cast member suggested I take the limo instead. For the same price I was able to travel to my destination in style. It was so cool! The driver opened the door for me and everyone was lookin to see who it was. That was exciting! :cool1:

I can add this one to my memory book and start looking forward to the next visit in November!

Happy Disneying! :earsgirl:

Did you not have a ceiling fan?

Thanks for the great report. Sounds like you had a good time. We were in buildging 28 in January, and thought the location was fine except for the fact that we had a GV above us (we were on the first floor) and the noise from the thundering herds on the hardwood floors of the GV was a little bothersome.

Thanks for sharing. How cool you got to take a limo (and for the same price as the cab!!). Were you able to see any fireworks from your room at BCV?
