Stayed at the All-Star Music ~ May 6-11, 2008

Here are my observations...

Parks were packed! Shocked to find thousands - and I mean thousands - of kids pulled out of school! Never would have thought! Lots of local school field trips there also. I will never go in May again! Maybe next time the first week in September at the beginning of the school year.

Weather was HOT ~ low 90's! No rain for week. Comfortable at night - heat not oppressive.

ASMu very nice. Room clean and comfortable for two people.

TIP: Make your ADRs! We didn't - thought we could just walk in - WRONG! Just by chance we did eat dinner at LTT and breakfast at Kona. 1900 Park Fair was booked solid with no cancellations.

Music is still doing the children's activities by the main pool.

Plentiful busses to parks except to the AK.

Thank you to all posters for your valuable tips!

How exciting! This is where we are staying. I have not been to WDW since 1988 - I was just a kid - and I have never stayed on site. Is there a way to contact the hotel directly? I wanted to see if I could get a cot in the room. We have 2 double beds and my 14 year old does not want to sleep with the 7year old - so I thought rather than one camping on the floor, we could get a cot or something. Is that even an option?

Vavy,

You can contact the ASMu directly at: 407-939-6000.

Thanks for the review and pics! I just booked ASMu for a quick solo trip and have never stayed there before or even seen it. It looks like it will be just fine for me!

Glad you had a good week!

Allyson :)

Thanks for posting the great pictures. I've never stayed here before, but it looks like a fun place to stay. Might have to keep it in mind for future trips...I think my son would love the decor.

Hi,

Thanks for posting we leave in 30 days and I am really excited:goodvibes

Thank you for the great pictures. We are staying at ASMu for the first time in the latter part of August. Hoping the crowds will be down since school is back in session for most kids. We already have our ADR's.

I hope you had a great trip. And thanks for the wonderful pictures, this is our favorite value resort. And when ever we are doing a budget trip this is were we stay.

Thanks for the information and pictures! We are staying here for our vacation 8/29-9/6... DH was somewhat fearful that we would regret staying at a budget,.but the kids and I are excited! looks like a fun place to stay.

Thanks for the pictures. We are staying there Sept 20-27 and are so excited!!!!! Question for you, what beverages were you able to get with the refillable mugs??? Most importantly, are any juices available????

Thanks for the pics!!! We're staying at ASMu for the first time in November, and it can't get here fast enough!!!

I'm not the OP, but the mugs are $11.99 plus tax. The picture the OP posted with the drink dispensers would be most of the choices; the other values also have iced tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Pop and CBR have apple juice too, I don't know if Music does.

Hannahon ~ The beverages you can get with the mug are: coffee, sodas (see my posted pic of the self-serve dispenser), iced tea and hot chocolate.

You cannot get juice for the mug. In the rear of the cafeteria, OJ in a small plastic bottle and other juices is available for purchase.

HonnyDipp ~ The mug was $12.49 plus tax. If you drink alot of the above-mentioned mug beverages, it's well worth the price!

We are staying at ASMo in Sept and my 16 yo does not want to share a bed with ANYONE - I read somewhere on another post that you cannot request a cot at any resort. I think we are going the single air bed route, I hear it can fit, but not a double or queen. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.:thumbsup2

We were there the same time in ASMo and found the crowds to be fine except AK. Never waited for more than 10 min. and utilized fast pass for anything else. The heat was oppressive though.

Babka:: Sorry to hear about the crowds, but hope you had a great time, anyway!!
Just a quick question. I noticed a curtain in your room separating the vanity area. Did you have a standard room and not a family suite? I didn't realize that the values had curtains.
We are booked for ASSp in Aug. and I was just curious.

Thanks for the pics!!!

We are checking in tonight!! :woohoo:

Never been to this resort- can anyone tell me if they have hairdryers in the rooms? Not suites--just a standard room. Need to know, 'cause that's more room I could use for FUN stuff to bring home. hahaha.

I called last night and I had requested Jazz, but they said they have me in Broadway. Tell me Broadway is good- please???:rotfl:

Thanks!

Jo
