HI All, Just wanted to say we are back from our vacation and here is the our take on the All Star Movies, We checked in on 11/29 about 1ish and we told at first that our room wasn't ready but low and behold the second check it WAS ! ( I love that ) So off to Woody we go! we have room 9906 , it was facing the courtyard of Andy's Room. Kids got a huge kick about traveling through Andy's Room each night to take the elevators to the third floor.
The room itself was small but hey it was $60.00 per night and it was just fine for the 3 of us and the amount of time we actually spent in it. And they are sort of Tacky but hey its Disney Tacky and was fun . The pool was nice, No slide but hey they can do a hundreds of cannon balls in a night so have at it. The food was fast food counter type of stuff. decent and worth the price. oh the bus service was great no problem at all, we never waited more then 10 minutes for one ( we went to MGM and AK ) All in All I am sure if the price is right we would stay there again! Like i said it was fine for the 3 of us ( however add another adult and it would be a little cramped ) Let me know if you have question but i will warn you , I won't be getting right back to you as its off to work tomorrow but i will try.. Thanks Michelle

Thanks for the report Michelle. I'm trying to decide between an AllStar and a moderate for next summer. Reports like yours are making me feel better about chosing a value resort. It will be my 9 y/o dd, DH and myself. DD reallys wants a slide at the pool, but hey, for those prices....well..she can canonball all day too! Thanks again.

Michelle - Thanks for report on ASMo. I think I can use your help.
Hoping to return for Spring Break in April, but cost of Deluxe onsite is becoming an issue with DH. We have always stayed at Deluxe (CR, AKL, WL) because DH likes his comforts and he spends a usual amount of time in hotel rooms than normal people (even at Disney!) Having said that - we are AP holders and it would be great to convince him to try ASMo (DD is 7 and DS is 4 - both would love ASMo as you discribed it) to make it a little more affordable.
I understand the difference btwn value and deluxe - but since you have also stayed at AKL - what do you think about value vs. deluxe?
I'm thinking maybe split the 7 night stay - 3 days AS and 4 at deluxe?
Thanks for any input!

Welcome Back!

I'm glad you had a nice trip! Thanks for the report:D

Michelle - sorry just re-read my thread and mean't to say DH spends an unusual amount of time in hotel rooms compared to normal - he likes to linger in the AM, relax in the room (watch TV) -he is not a "just sleep in the room" kind of guy.
Sorry for the confusion. Thxs!

Just to weigh in with one opinion-I've combined ASMusic and AKL on a trip, then ASSports and BC on another. IMO, the 2 All Stars I've stayed at are so "cheap" in appearance that I would never stay more than one night in them. Even the TVs in the room are very noticeably smaller than in a deluxe. After ASMusic, I only returned to ASSports because I was checking in at 10:30 pm, got up the next morning and went over to the deluxe. Otherwise-no way would I go to Allstars.
