Had quite a wonderful, although very hot trip this past week July 14-19. Stayed in Toy Story and had a good room, close to the food court and on the main passage way. It has been a long time since i have been to Orlando in the dead of summer and i do not think i ever want to go again in June, July, or August. It was horribly hot, humid, and sticky. There were also big crowds that i was not used to. As a result, i just feel cranky when i shouldn't be. Surprisingly, the waits weren't that bad. The main pool at All Star was bascially packed everyday and i noticed how much garbage was laying around in the area, and even in the pool. Kind of yucky. The food was good and i over all had a pleasant experience. If anyone has a questions about anything, feel free to ask. OH--ate at Ohauna and Beaches...yummy!

Hi, just wondering which building in Toy Story you were in (I've requested Buzz #10) and how far a walk it was to the bus stop, pool, and food court. Thanks!

darlene,
Yes there is only one bus stop at the AllStars. One for each resort that is but they do however share a bus!

I'd also like to know which building in Toy Story to request. We are staying at ASMo in April for the 1st time. DD 3 can't wait. I was a little hesitant to stay in an AS resort but we are going on another vacation in Aug. and I'm trying to save money when possible without canceling this trip. We are going with 2 other families who have never been to WDW. Do you think they will like ASMo? I'm planning the trip for everyone.

CJ--was in Toy Story building 10 room 0959. It was a good room facing the main area of that section. The walk to the food court and main pool took about 1-2 minutes using the stairs that were just down the hall.

Gette88--All Star Movies is quite nice and not so obnoxiously decorated as the other two All-Stars (IMHO). It's a pleasant little resort that aids to a guests needs quite well. The housekeeping was good, food is all good, and the bus system isn't bad. I would recommend it.

We will be there in 2 1/2 weeks! Did Mousekeeping do anything special? (Towels shaped like animals, posing stuffed animals to watch tv, etc.) My niece is expecting "magic" to happen so I am hoping they do!:p

KatelynnsAuntie--We left a tip every day for the maid, usually about $2...except one day, it was $6 and we had turndown service. We also had some fancy looking fan type wash cloths around the bathroom and such. No animals though. Probably depends on the maid though.

I'd like some gory details on the garbage by (and *gasp* in) the pool! We'll be there in August and it's hard to imagine a Disney resort being a mess like that.

Just a note about the bus stops. The three AS resorts are right next to each other. It's boom, boom, boom. So, yeah, they do share buses. However, when it is busy, they will send buses to each resort. I think in the morning and evening they do this more. And, where that might seem like a bad thing, we visited other resorts and some of those resorts share with other resorts too. And, the resorts aren't right next to each other. They are just one the way to and from wherever they are going. The buses aren't bad at all.

About the garbage--well, it wasn't like the most horrid thing that i have ever saw or anything. It was just that i found pieces of plastic floating around in the pool, along with a plastic cup that you recieve in the hotel room. Alsol, a runaway bag of Lays potato chips rolled right to my lawn chair. I threw away whatever i saw near me.
