We stayed five nights at AKL Concierge and loved it. We had a 5th floor room overlooking the Arusha Rock area. The lounge was great. We even ate dinner there a couple nights. They would offer three or four small portions of pork, beef, fish, or chicken each night along with some different salads. The staff was great. One gentleman would entertain the kids talking like Donald Duck. My son couldn't get enough of "Mr. Donald" The pool was a bit crowded at times, but we were always able to find three seats together. The slide is nice, but too short. The best part of the trip was the Sunrise Safari. Highly recommend it. The breakfast afterwards was very good. We spend about one hour on the safari truck out looking at animals. I'll be happy to field any questions.

Glad you had a good time, we are staying AKL Concierge in 2 weeks, we are so looking forward to the sunrise Safari, booked this on our first morning (as we are from the UK the time difference ensures we are always wide awake on the first morning.)

Was the lounge busy, was there plenty of food etc any tips would be appreciated

How long did the sunrise safari take from start to finish of breakfast? We are leaving right after it to go to Pt. Canaveral and want if the Towncar co. was to pick us up at 11 is that too early?

TIA

The breakfast started promptly at 9 AM. We were the first to leave around 9:30 because we wanted to get moving before the park got too crowded. I would think 11 AM would be plently early enough.

The lounge was crowded the night before the Sunrise Safari only. I think a lot of people checked in just for the safari trip. The other days it wasn't crowded at all except right at 5 PM when they served the dinner items. There was always plenty of food... they restocked well. Our son is under four so we didn't stay out late and we found ourselves hanging out each night for a snack and drink. They serve a cream liquor from South Africa each night that was very yummy. We also did breakfast each morning except when we went to CP to see Pooh. We often hit it in the early afternoon for a snack and drinks and then again for dinner. We found the food offerings to be plenty and good.

We had a 5th floor room along the Zebra Trail (next to the VP suite) and it was PERFECT. You won't be disappointed with the 5th floor Arusha Rock view.

As someone elsed noted the fifth floor view was great, but I think being down one or two floors would be a bit better.
