Hello all!!!!!
So, I am back (well, I officially got back on Friday - but I've spent the weekend choosing to believe I am still in the magic) from one week of pure bliss in Disneyland Paris! I miss it so much already!!!! We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and it was as gorgeous as ever - and I got to share it with my friend from Québec who visited for her first time and also my DBF came out for our last couple of days to meet us which made it even more perfect!
There is so much to write for the TR - and I will do one - it may just take a while!! In the meantime, here are my highs and lows:-
Highs
- Sharing the magic with my friend for her first DLP trip, it was soooo lovely and magical to see DLP through the eyes of a new visiter again. I loved it.
- The Inca Sunday Brunch at the DLH. This was my first ever Sunday Brunch experience and it was amazing. We loved it. The character interaction was amazing - a huge shout out to Donald Duck, Pluto and Minnie who were EXTRA attentive to me and my friend. My friend's camera flash broke and Donald spent ages with us trying to help fix it and testing it out. Pluto is one of my favourites and Minnie is my friend's favourite - I asked Pluto if we could have a group photo with him and Minnie and he ran and got Minnie for us. Minnie ADORED my friend's handbag (it has a Minnie bow on it) and she kept posing with it (a theme throughout the entire trip actually).
- Characters in general - they were all AMAZING. So friendly, lively and attentive to everyone. The queue system is pretty much enforced throughout the whole resort and it was so refreshing to see people getting beautiful photos with their Disney favourites simply by waiting their turn. Huge thumbs up for this
- Disney Dreams... I say no more!
- Cocktails... LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
- Meals - the food was just DIVINE everywhere we ate (Walt's x2, Blue Lagoon, Inventions x2, BBWWS)
- DBF coming to join us, made the perfect trip even more perfect.
- Getting a group photo with my favourite Disney characters Goofy AND Max!!!!!! Also meeting LaunchPad!
- Popping into Paris one morning. It was lovely to have a little stroll out into the city to see some of the gorgeous sights.
Lows
- Queues everywhere. We unknowingly booked during a European school holiday and the park was simply crazy. To give you an idea, we walked into Disney Studios as soon as the park opened (we queued for the opening of the park) and by the time we got to Crush's Coaster (straight away) there was a 75minute wait! That was pretty universal for rides throughout the parks. Although we made some good use of our FastPasses which really helped out.
- Only had one bad experience, and it wasn't even a bad experience I guess, just me being picky. But in the DLH shop, I had quite a lot of items to buy plus I wanted to buy a lot of photos taken using the PhotoPass... the lady behind the till kept serving other people whilst showing me the photos and not listening to me when I was selecting photos. I was made to feel like an inconvenience, and considering the amount of money I spent I felt like I deserved a little common courtesy of being served properly instead of the huffing and puffing and making me wait whilst she served other people. She was plain rude. I made note of her name and I will be saying something.
- Coming home. After spending a week in the amazing DLP, it was extremely hard leaving. I may have shed a tear or two...
In the meantime, here's a few of my memories to wet your tastebuds...
