I thought the cruise was great. I enjoyed the entertainment and characters. I didn't think the food was that great though. We just returned to shore yesterday and now I am sitting in my room at AKL with a major sinus infection. I was fine until I got on the cruise and Thursday is when it really kicked in. I felt better Friday sitting on the beach at Castaway Cay but shortly after I got back on the ship I started feeling bad again. I have gone thru 3 boxes of kleenex in 4 days. :( Yes my nose is raw. I had to call my doctor yesterday and get an antibiotic called in for me. Everyone in my family got mild colds, I got the worst of it. Now they are all at the parks while I am sitting in the room. I didn't really feel up to going to the parks this morning and thought that maybe if I let my body rest and let the antibiotic kick in then maybe I would feel up to it tomorrow. The medicine is working now and I am starting to see signs of improvement. Luckily for my poor nose. :( All in all I enjoyed the cruise but it wasn't a very happy ending. We did encounter other people that had cold symptoms that developed onboard. When my family went to pick up my prescription last night the pharmacists said they get people coming in all the time sick after returning from cruises (usually with colds). I wash my hands repeatedly too (so much that I have been made fun of) so it wasn't that I was careless about what I was doing.

Sorry about your sinus infection. Those are terrible! I have had a few and I am miserable when I get them. At least you are on the up swing now. You are in a beautiful lodge and maybe you can enjoy the animals while you are resting.

I hope you get to go to the parks tomorrow with your family.

I can definitely relate to this. I developed bronchitis after our cruise in April. It is NO fun. :(

I still have a cough from my May 8th, 2004 Magic cruise :( So I can totally relate::yes::

dd developed a slight cold on our May 8th cruise. I came down with it three days later (figured I got it from her) I was much sicker than her--stuffiness, cough, general malaise.

Cram 3500 ppl in 964 feet and germs are sure to go around.

Glad you're starting to feel better.

I hope you feel better soon! We caught colds toward the end of the week on our May 15th Magic cruise and, like you, spent a lot of time resting at AKL the night after our cruise! Mine turned into a sinus infection this week and my sister has some kind of bronchial thing. We also went through LOTS of Kleenex! It's no fun on vacation. Our server mentioned one night that his sinuses had been hurting all day (and he didn't seem as peppy that evening), so it sounds like something might be going around. We still had a great time though! I'm glad your anitbiotics are helping! I hope you feel well enough soon to tour the parks. :)
