Just got back from a 2week stay at POR....

We had a great time!. The weather the first week was rainy..alot of rain and thunderstorms..which made everything extra humid after the rain ended. The second week was HOT! I think 2 days it reached 105 with the humidity.
The crowds weren't that bad. Thank god that I had read these message boards before and learned about fastpass...that was a lifesaver. We got to do all the good rides...it was great!

* a little note * I was alittle dissapointed in the POR. It was a beautiful resort, but we stayed in the Acardian Mansion (spelling sorry) and it was a really long walk to the food court at night .
Our bus stop was the North Depot....which was a hike to get your cups then head over to the food court.

While we were there..also..Epcot was closed all day on Wednesday due to a fire in a main computer..leaving Epcot with no power,,,,making the other parks really really croweded. omn fact MGM did Fantasmic twice that night because of the crowds. Then our resort had a pwer failure on Friday..right at dinner time..

***But the one good thing about POR was BOB! My kids loved BOB and we did too.........

Welcome Back!

Glad you had a nice trip!

We stayed at PO-R in June. We like PO-FQ better because it's smaller & you can get to things faster...like the food court.

I think that "long" walks must be a matter of opinion. I also stayed in the parking lot side of the Acadian House, and didn't think the walk was long at all. In addition, there was a bus stop right out front. I loved that location.

I'm glad you had a great trip!

Glad to hear you had a nice stay at POR. How was your room? How was the food court? How were the CM's? POR is our favorite moderate. They can't really be blamed them for the longer walk - it is a big resort. Believe it or not, Coronado is far bigger than POR!

Glad you had a great trip! We are at POR from August 8-14. Two weeks and counting until we leave (we are driving this trip)!1 We are so excited!! Any more info on this resort? It's our first stay. We are supposed to be in the Alligator Bayou buildings with a trundle. How were the pools. I read where a bridge is closed. How does this affect the access to pool? Thank for any tips.:p

Pryncess.....The resort was beautiful and we had no problem with any bridge being out. The pools are nice. The one closest to us was open 24hrs so late at night that was nice. The main pool was also nice, had a slide for the kids and shade for us old folks..lol. The food court I thought had great food, everything from Pasta, hamburgers, taco salads, sandwiches, mac& cheese...everything!. The walk was long late at night...we would get off at the North Depot and be hungry but too tired to walk to the food court...but we did!.....

You HAVE TO STAY AND SEE BOB one night. He is the piano player and he is great!!!!

Our housekeeper was great also, everyday when we got back to the room she would set up the dolls, animals to look like they were doing things while we were away.. also she made awesome animals out of washcloths...the kids actually looked forward to returning to the room at night to see what she had done!!

Let me know if u need any more info about anything...HAVE A GREAT TIME!:smooth:
