Back from 12/8 Rockin' eastern...any QQQ's

Ducky had 3 Seminars were he told his story on how he started in Disney.. The whol time he spoke he sketched characters.. at the end he did a Raffle and signed each one and raffled them off..

Then at one of the Art Auction days, he was present and gave a speech about each of the 6 Signed lithographs.. He left.. Then the bidding began..

We were told that if we wanted something signed or an autograph, he does not object..

He signed my scrapbook I brought :goodvibes

He is such a nice man, isn't he? We have been fortunate enough to sail with him twice now. The first time (special Eastern 2/Antigua in 2004) we won his sketch of Ursula. This time we didn't win any of the sketches but I love watching him sketch and listening to his story. DD15 also took an animation class with him and had a great time. I am hoping that he will be onboard for the Eastbound PC cruise in August.

And phishgirl, I see you're doing back-to-back 7-day cruises! You will absolutely love the experience. We just did one (although we went Western then Eastern) so if you have any questions please feel free to PM me!

I think it comes down to how much Disney charges people for their cruises...we were on the 12/8 eastern and couldn't believe how much we had paid. You can spend thousands less per family and sail on MUCH nicer ships on other lines with way better food. Topsiders was practically inedible when we'd visit for breakfast or lunch. The only REALLY nice thing we found on the Magic was the spa.

I think the other lines make up the difference in their casinos. ;)

::yes:: He was so nice and always had a bunch of people crowding him for drawings and he never objected.. :goodvibes

This is our 1st back to back so when it gets closer I will probably have tons of questions.. You msy regret your offer.. ;)

Nah...it will help me relive my trip!

We were thinking about another b-2-b but decided against it when we were able to get a cabin on the Eastbound PC repositioning cruise in August. So now we're going from 14 nights to 15! Our new dream is back-to-back on the Magic, followed by a repositioning to the Med or CA, followed by the first cruise in the new location. I figure that will keep us onboard for more than a month! :thumbsup2

Joiseymom are you on the EB too!?!?!? Maybe we'll actually get to meet this time! I promise to bring you peanut butter cups this time.

I'm excited to see what the litho will be. We got one on our Antigua cruise in '04 as it was a special itinerary. It shows Mickey, Goofy and Donald dressed as pirates playing in the sand at Castaway Cay with the ship in the background. We had Mr. Williams sign it and then had it framed. It is hanging in our bedroom and it is gorgeous!

We were on that cruise as well, AND on the Dec 8 with you. So how have we never gotten to meet you? :confused3

Hmmmm...I don't know! I see you are from Oregon. Did you have 2 teenagers with you? DD met a brother and sister from Oregon in the Stack.

Not this trip. But, small world, our DD and DSIL met a family from not only Oregon, but from our little town of Newberg on one of the excursions! Might have been them you DD met. I wish DD would have gotten their names! :upsidedow

Yup!! Me, DH, DD 12 and DS 7. We booked it on Dec 7, as I was getting us ready for the cruise!

Mr. Williams drew a picture of Tink for my dd and Socerer Mickey for ds. I bought 2 frames on board and I can't wait to hang them up!! The kids loved them, but have no understanding yet of their significance.

Hmm...peanut butter cups??? I think I missed soemthing somewhere :).

Weren't you the one who wanted me to sneak you some of the peanut butter cups I got on clearance after Halloween? The ones I bought to give the kids counselors? I could have sworn it was you!
