Photos coming later.

It felt like Christmas in January!

Now how can a visit go wrong with a view like that!? :cloud9:
There were two of us couples, connecting rooms. YES, CONNECTING. :woohoo: Always a good start right there.
We were assigned to the 7th floor, nearly center.

We checked in around 1:30 - 2 p.m. yesterday afternoon. Easily were checked in and our rooms were ready. We spent a little time soaking in the room and the view.

For whatever reason we each turned on our room 'puters. The one in our room was a black screen with an error message.
Theirs was not connecting to the internet properly and was not working. :confused3

I called the front desk, who transferred me to someone else, who in turn transferred me again. But on the other end was a very pleasant person who immediately said our room needed a new 'puter. They were going to send someone over to switch it out. And if we were not there, they would just access our room and leave a note.

Soon afterwards there was a knock on our friend's door and someone was delivering a bouquet of flowers in a Minnie cup. (Not a mini cup. )
Then a knock on our door. I had a similar bouquet in a Donald cup. :confused3DH had ordered flowers for both us ladies from disneyflorist.com. :flower3: How special and sweet was that?!

After ooohing and ahhing, we headed out the door for Epcot, but were met by the computer guy. After showing him what was up, we left him to do his job and we rode the monorail for our ADR at Tutto. :teleport: A great meal it was too! :Pinkbounc

After a little shopping and browsing, back to the room. Our DH's did play in the new game room a little before heading to our rooms.

Now something funny -- the other DW wanted a cup of tea and so she got out their room coffeemaker. It did not work properly as the carafe top was missing a part.
I checked ours just in case. Same thing! :upsidedow
And we also noticed the computer guy had to look at their computer wires in the ceiling, in the bathroom on the other side of the computer station. He left the ceiling tile off. :rolleyes2 Nice big ol gappin' hole with all these wires, right over the shower area...

I called maintenance about the ceiling tile and said I knew the coffee pots were not in their area, but would they pass that info along also and get us replacements? They assured a maintenance person would be there that night. just not immediate. (No problem.) I just did not want one of us to standing on the tub/shower side and slip and fall.

Last night was a Pirates and Princess Party so we were able to watch some fantastic around the park fireworks.

The only downside was it was drizzling rain and we must have had smokers right underneath us. :dance3: :snooty: :firefight
On our room balcony we smelled cigarette smoke. On our friend's balcony we smelled cigar. :smokin: I can't tell you how tempted we were to throw water down on them. :stir: :ssst: :charac2: But luckily we only had to smell that twice. (But that was twice too often.)

Afterwards someone came with a new carafe for our friends. I got a new carafe top. Their pot worked fine then. My carafe top was for a smaller carafe so I still did not have a working pot. Oh well. We managed.

We gave up on the maintenance person and the other DH replaced the ceiling tile. Of course almost 11 p.m. last night the maintenance person knocked on their door. :scared1: They let him know it was too late. I am surprised that after a certain hour they don't call before knocking on the door. DH and I were long asleep by then.

The other couple loved their room so much they were too excited to sleep. :rotfl2:

As an FYI to anyone traveling with a laptop, for whatever reason DH's laptop never did connect to the internet. It acted like it would, but just sat there. He even used a cable we found in the closet. He did have some business to handle and tried last night and this morning. No success either time. Luckily he had handled it prior to us checking in and everything was going as planned at work.

Despite the few minor oddities we really had a great room and great time. :cool2:

Oh -- and our rooms DID contain bounceback offers!

Wow, you're a trooper. With everything they went wrong some people here would be blasting Disney about how awful their room was. So, will you stay again?

:goodvibes Oh! ALWAYS!! There was nothing terrible. Just little glitches here and there. Nothing earthshattering.

Really the only reason I even mentioned these was in case a working in room coffee pot and computer are necessary to others. If they are, check all working items right away!
Another odd thing -- the sliding door latch in our friend's room literally fell off in their hands the first time they opened the door. I meant to write a note to tell Disney to repair for the next guest. I think the DH just laid it on a table.
It was no issue for them. But someone with kids would need it deperately.

If only others thought the way you did and did not worry about every single thing that was wrong. In some cases if it's major problem people have a right to be upset and it's a problem that should be fixed right away. Now last month when my family and I stayed at the Polynesian a light was broken in our bathroom, but it was not earthshattering. The only problem we had it took a maintenance Cast Member 3 days to fix it, despite us telling this to the Cast Members in the Hawaii Longhouse and them calling to get someone to do the job. Someone might think of that as being a negative part about the Polynesian, however in the past when we stayed at the Contemporary and needed a new remote for the TV, we have had to call more then once for something that should be easy to replace. So I think the other Resorts have a problem when trying to contact a maintenance Cast Member for help.

Except for the flowers, the photos are from this morning. sigh.....
