Back Entrance

I will be driving from Atlanta to WDW in Sept. In the past I've done I75 to BeeLine, follow that to I4 then back across to the resorts. At the time I thought I was back tracking but didn't know any other way. Awhile ago I read about a back entrance, but since I didn't have a trip planned I didn't retain the info. We are staying at the POP so if any one has a short-cut I would appreciate it.

What you probably did before was I-75 to the turnpike to I-4 westbound to Disney.The Beeline or Beachline as it's now known is the expressway that runs from Orlando to the east coast over by Cocoa Beach.The new "Back Entrance" that you would get from the turnpike is the Daniel Webster Western Beltway (429).From this expressway you would get off at the Western Way exit which ends at Buena Vista Drive right next to the Coronado Springs resort,from there you make a right turn to get to the All Star resorts,Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach and you make a left turn for the other parks,hotels and DTD.Also remember the new expressway has tolls,I've only driven it twice and I don't know if it's changed but it felt like you had the expressway to yourself it had such little traffic.

You're right, it was the turnpike (I had my lingo messed up). So when I get to Buena Vista dr I'll turn left to get to POP?

That would be the most direct way. It will take you across World Drive, past the Epcot resorts and the entrance to DHS, and then at the next light, you would turn right to go to POP. The light is right by the fire station, so you can't miss it.

It's actually faster to turn right onto BVD from Western Way, and then go past BB, under the bridge, and take the right exit onto Osceola Pkwy east (towards Wide World of Sports and the Airport.) On Osceola, go past World Dr. and turn left onto Victory Way, which is the first full intersection (WWoS will be on the right.) Pop will be right there, about 1/2 mile up on the right.
