We will be going straight to Epcot before the hotel when we arrive in WDW. We have never used the "other" entrance by the countries. How do we get there and is there a ticket booth?

There is a bridge between the France and England pavilions. The International Gateway entrance to Epcot is just before you go over the bridge from England toward France. There is a ticket booth and Guest Services there.

Not sure what you mean by get there. If you are staying at a Boardwalk area resort you can walk to take a boat.

And yes it has everything a regular entrance has.

Unless youre stayin at BWI, BC/YC or Swan/Dolphin, it will be easier to just drive to Epcot. But, yes, you can buy tickets at the IG entrance.

Unless the boat to EPCOT is right at the loading dock ready to leave, just go ahead and walk -- it's a pretty short 10 minute walk from the Boardwalk Inn.

If you are going to Epcot first, you would most likely enter from the main entrance in the front. To enter from the International Gateway, you'd need to park at your hotel first and then walk or take the boat to Epcot.

Keep in mind that there's a 2 hour time limit for visitor parking at the Epcot/Boardwalk Resorts. You must be staying at one of those resorts to park longer than that and they do enforce it.

Just wanted to add that the IG entrance is for people saying at those hotels or those hopping from DHS. Its not for someone coming in a car.

I (probably wrongly) assumed the OP was staying at an Epcot resort. Otherwise there would be no reason to enter from the International Gateway entrance, as chartle said.

I think the OP might be under the mistaken assumption that the "back" entrance is another entrance with a parking lot, etc. But it isn't. It's primarily for the Epcot Area resorts, which are the Beach Club (and villas), Yacht Club, Boardwalk Inn (and villas), and the Swan/Dolphin, as well as guests taking the boat/walking from DHS.

There is no public parking in that area (beyond DHS, but if you're going to Epcot, park at Epcot), and no sign will direct you there.

Thanks for all the help. Yes, I thought it might be another entrance and parking lot and we would try something new, but it sounds like the regular entrance is the way to go!

If you are staying on-property, you can check in to your hotel early, even if your room isn't ready. Then you can use Disney transportation to get to Epcot.

Or, as previously suggested, you can park at the DHS lot and walk or boat over...

This. If you aren't familiar with the Epcot Resorts area, it's worth spending the time strolling or boating to the Epcot International Gateway. If you are using Disney Bus Service, go to DHS. Take the boat there, or walk, to Epcot. If driving, go to DHS lot, then get the boat or walk. All the resorts around Crescent Lake are gorgeous, and worth a peek. The Boardwalk has entertainment at night, and there's some wonderful restaurants to consider in place of an Epcot restaurant. If you pay for Disney theme park parking, save your receipt and you can move your car for free during the same day.

The entrance is there with full ticketing facilities for all, but the closest official and proper parking lot is at Hollywood Studios, about a mile walk or boat ride. See the map above.

Hollywood Studios' entrance is directly across the main northeast-southwest drag Buena Vista Drive from the Boardwalk.

While parking is free at Disney's resorts, the resort lots near Magic Kingdom and near the rear of Epcot are usually in a level of quasi-closure where guests not actually staying at those resorts are limited to two or three hours.
