Back already :( Fantastic Time! Thanks DIS & TGM!

Hi guys,

Thank you all for all the information you've provided to me. We just got back last night from a 7 night trip to WDW. It was FABULOUS!

Thanks to the DIS boards and Tour Guide Mike we had the best vacation ever. We never waited more than 25 minutes for a ride. Actually only one ride was 25 min. the rest were about 10-15 min. Perfect weather the entire week.

The dining plan ROCKS! We ate so good, I haven't totaled my receipts yet but I can tell you with the dining plan for 4 of us (2 kids) we spent about $97/day. Well our receipts were definately over $150/day without the dining plan. Does that make sense? So all of you going for free dining plan, WAY TO GO! I am very jealous.

So any questions you may have, feel free to ask me. I'm very sad to be back but I'm looking forward to making my photo cd with the 630 pictures I had taken. I can't believe I took that many.

We came home last night and I'm already trying to figure out a way to get back.

Tour Guide Mike was amazing. We rode everything we wanted, some rides (Everest and Soaring) multiple times, and hardly ever had more than 10-15 minute waits. Even while the park crowds were huge!

A funny--there was another TGM follower behind us on the train in Magic Kingdom one day.

We also did the dining plan and for the 5 of us, it was SO worth it. We even had snacks left for the airplane ride home.

So glad you guys had a great trip! Sounds like you did a lot of DISing and researching ahead of time. I, too, am using TGM this trip. Anything unexpected?? Any tips to share? Any restaurants you won't go back to? Thanks.

I subscribed to TGM and then not trying to change them once I got TGM. We're big fans of eating in EPCOT's World Showcase and had 3 nights we were eating there. Unfortunately, 2 of those nights were EMH nights and the crowds were horrible. The same went for the day we had Crystal Palace scheduled for breakfast. Next time, I'm going to subscribe to TGM immediately and use his recommendations for when to schedule ADRs.

We weren't overly impressed with Teppanyaki in Japan. 'Ohana was mixed for us for dinner. DD, my youngest DS, and I loved it. My older DS and DH thought it was "okay" except for the cheesy potatoes and the dessert, which everyone loved.

As far as tips go, really read everything on TGM's site. Follow his suggestions, no matter how silly some of them seem. I scratched my head a few times reading some of the suggestions, but followed them anyway and they really paid off.

I am not using TGM, BUT we do have the Dining Plan !!
I'm happy to hear we will eat like royalty !
I have been researching & reading the DIS also, so I'm sure I will learn lots too to make our vacay magical !!
What other restaurants did you really enjoy using the DP???
