Well, I love 100 loop too but ....
It's not the most shaded loop in the campground. Actually, IMO, loop 200 (also a Preferred) has more shade relatively speaking. And 300 (Preferred) is a little bit away but the shadiest of the Preferred and has a short dirt road off the 300 road to an interior canal very nearby. You might want a 300 site that backs up against the canal.
Also, hubbie will probably be disappointed because if he is fishing in Bay Lake from shore, that is frowned upon. Why, you ask? Because you aren't paying the hundred$ of dollar$ for a guided fi$hing tour of Bay Lake. Di$ney act$ like you're $tealing money from their empty pocket$ and they'll go hungry if you don't pay through the no$e. Given the shallow water and marsh around the edges, the only place to drop a line from shore is around the docks and landscaped beach and areas near the boats. But that's been roped off because of the alligator issues. They don't want anyone standing near the water's edge. If I am wrong on this point, I hope 2goofycampers/Denise will correct me (or confirm with our poster BornToFish). If spotted he will be warned by a CastMember to stop fishing in the Lake. Same goes for fishing from a pontoon or other boat rental.
Of course he can fish in the canals on the interior of the Fort (Disney doesn't run guided fishing excursions there). Those fish like hot dogs cut up as bait if I recall.
All fishing at the Fort (and in Bay Lake when paying) is catch and release.
