Bachlorette Help!! Please (Thanks for the info! Now we can just talk about the show)

I didn't realize that tonight's Bachlorette started early. I missed the first 1/2 hour -- which means I think I missed the individual dates.

Can someone fill me in? Lots of details please!

Actually I came in during her solo date with Ian.

Anyone know what happened before that?

She had solo dates with Chad, Matthew and Lanny ... and group dates with Ian, Brad, Sean and Ryan M. The solo dates were picked by Meredith's friends Kelly Jo and TJ in a letter writing competition. Meredith and Chad took a Maserati out for a drive, Matthew and Meredith went flying and had a tour of a winery and Lanny and Meredith had a home cooked meal at her house. The others went golfing.

Send me a PM if you want me to tell you which four guys she picked... I don't want to spoil it for anyone in case they taped it.

What did you all think of last night's show?

I'm just glad she got rid of Motormouth. That guy just wore my last nerve. Although I suppose he did make for good ratings, which is probably why he was kept this long.

Of the 4, I'd pick either Lanny or Ian. I think she will pick Matt though. He seems nice, but so serious (which might be what she likes), plus his neck is bigger than his head (again, it might be something she personally likes. )

I'm also glad she got rid of motormouth, that guy was driving me batty! I couldn't believe how he was berating her in the limo. Dude, get a clue.

Of the guys left, I like Lanny the best, he seems like the most 'normal' guy.

BTW does anybody else notice that Meredith wears an awful lot of turtle necks?

I was happy she got rid of the non stop talker too. I liked Sean though and was sorry to see him go. I thought the final 4 would be Matt, Lanny, Ian and Sean. I missed her date with Chad so I didn't get to see them interact at all.

I also missed the part with Kelly jo and Meredith's other friend. Can someone fill me in on how that went?

Motormouth was convinced that Kelly Jo ruined his chances with Meredith and basically told her that. Which I'm sure didn't help his case any, genius.

Beth -The guys all had an hour to write a letter to Meredith. Then they ahd to read it to Meredith's friends. It didn't sound to me like they read them. They more stated their feelings, but not in a letter format. Then Kelly Jo and TJ (?) got to pick the 3 guys to go on the one on one dates.

Chad was first. Meredith came in a Mazerati (sp) and then Chad drove them to a pier where they went on a Gondola ride. Chad had never been on one. The "driver" told them that it was custom to kiss under every bridge. They arrived at this pod on the water where they had Sushi. Chad had never had sushi either. Meredith had to show him how to use the chopsticks and what to do. She said (in and interview) that he was not the kind of guy she would normally go for, but he was the kind of guy she needed. They seemed very comfortable with each other.

Then it was Matthew. They took an airplane ride in an airplane that is open on the top (I have no idea what they are called.) They went to a vineyard. (I missed some of this date.) They were walking around the vineyard and Meredith told Matthew how she felt so comfortable with him. Like they had been boyfriend/Girlfriend for a long time. Then they went in some where and had dinner. They were sitting by the fire and Meredith said "It's getting hot in here." Matthew said "Oh do you want to move." She said "that's not what I meant." They talked for a minute and then Meredith said something like "I know you are a gentleman, but I have been waiting all night for you to kiss me." He said "I have been wanting to kiss you all night." They kiss. I thought she seemed to REALLY like him!

Then it was a group date with Ian, Sean, Brad and Ryan. They went golfing. Ian was feeling jealous. Brad was feeling a little mad because he did not get an individual date ( I think Sean was too.) I think it was Sean who told Meredith that at the start of the date he had a "bad attitude" (she could tell). He said he thought that if she decided to give him a rose he would not accept it. Then half way through the date he changed his mind. She had some alone time with Brad. They were laying on a blanket. All I remember is that he kisses her and she said 'We don't kiss very well. We will have to work on that." He kept licking his lips (REALLY obvious) before he went in for each kiss. And it looked like he was trying to suck her lips off. It did not look like he was a good kisser. JMO.
Then it showed them sitting at the table as a group. Then Ian asked for alone time.
I think that is where you started watching.

I hope he was home watching last night and got to see that he looked like an idiot. Now he doesn't have to wonder why she dumped him anymore.

Jenn Lynn -- thanks for the update. Glad to see I'm not the only one who thought it looked like Brad was a bad kisser. I kept thinking -- what is he trying to do to her with those kisses?

OMG!!! LOL!!!! Brad did look like a BAD kisser!!!! But, still not as bad as the other bachelor Aaron!!! Remember those big sloppy St.Bernard kisses!!! Ewww!!!!

On the One-on-One dates:

Chad was so excited to have a date with Meredith... And the Mazerati really impressed him too. But, I didn't see that they were on the same 'plane' or 'wavelength'! Meredith really showed that she is sophisticated and intelligent. She had to lead Chad the whole way! I like Chad, but I didn't see a true connection.

Now, when Matthew and Meredith went on their date, the ride in the Bi-plane to the winery... they seemed a little more of a good fit. Matthew, and that huge smile of his, had seemed to be more of just a pretty face, but on this date, he showed that he is deeper! I think he was really trying to show this, why some may think he appeared a bit serious. He was not wanting to miss his ONE chance to show this to Meredith. Then, what happened, he started showing how romantic and and sensitive he is. He was very attentive to Meredith, and they were really in-tune. by the time they were sitting by the fire, and he had been talking about how back-home he could sit out and look at the night sky, where the stars were so clear and bright that you could actually see the milky way.... In her taped comments, Meredith said, "I was like, if he doesn't just KISS me in like two seconds!!!!) And, he appeared to be a great kisser.

Lanny, bless his heart, he is a great guy! He really put forth such an effort to cook supper for Meredith. (Was she helping out???) Even though they both know that this is not his thing, they have a great date. But, I think that they are just way to different.

After having the one-on-one time, it was hard for Ian to go on that group date... which I can understand ! But, the thing with them was, Ian has been playing it really cool, and not truly opening up with Meredith, and showing his true feelings, talking about his life, his past, his family, what he wants in the future, etc... Meredith likes Ian, but she says, he is going to HAVE to really open up and put himself out there... He still has not done this at the rose ceremony... (Isn't he the one who tells somebody that he is NOT ready to offer Meredith, or anyone, a ring at the end of the show. Like he is just not 'there' yet.....)

I think Meredith really gets that smile and that 'look' on her face when it comes to Matthew!

Ian, Ian, Ian, what's with the "I shouldn't have to use words" business. Haven't you learned anything about women by now?

I was glad Meredith got to read the letters - at least she had some indication of how Ian was feeling. It cracked me up. Ian was practically wringing his hands he wanted a rose so much, yet he wouldn't say anything to her that indicated he wanted one!

WHAT A LUCKY GIRL, SHE HAS 4 GOODLOOKING NICE GUYS. i think these guys are much more likable than in the past. i also think she will pick MATTHEW she definetly has the hots for him. i thought Brad looked like he was licking her chin..??? and Ryan was just too over the top.(another psycho). theres always one. my prediction, Matthew will win and Ian will get his heart broken, final 2.

Phew! I'm glad Ryan is gone too... He just talked waaay too much! I thought he was just too much when he was talking to Kelly Jo and then Meredith about how things had changed. I was just hoping that he would have stopped talking for a minute ... he never did, he just kept going and going... He also looked like he was going to cry during the rose ceremony.

I think Meredith is going to pick Matthew (he's a real cutie ) but I'm also to learn more about Ian. He's so quiet ... maybe things will be different when she visits his hometown.

I agree with the first line, I said she was lucky with the original 25!! Best group ever!

I do agree that Matthew and Ian will be the final two. Both are my faves and I think she REALLY likes them both. I believe that IAN will win though. The confrontation she had with him last night seemed too forced, like a producer or director demanded it. She mentioned he made her MELT... they need to keep some mystery till the end or the last show won't get the numbers!! (sorry, been in this business tooooooo long!)
