Bachelor Jake -- no-spoiler thread

No surprise that Corrie went home. She's a shy virgin and the man is hot on the trail of a bunch of willing non-virgins. Kinda sad, since I thought that they were on the same wavelength spiritually, KWIM? Which brings me to Ali. The question about "What do you usually do on a SUNDAY?" should have included a trip to church, or at least a mention of going on Saturday for some denominations. Jake is a Christian boy and I *think* he want's a Christian girl. Wrong answer about making that email seem so important!

My favorites (in order) are:

Gia
Vienna
Ali
Tenley

Gia is on my top because she is a the full package. Beautiful & smart. She also has a bit of that "take care of me!" part that the guys on The Bachelor seem to like.

Vienna is next. I am beginning to like her more. She knows what she wants and she's not shy about it. Plus, Jake said that he was no longer holding back with her. Sure, she's a witch sometimes. I particularly didn't like seeing her chase after Jake and Gia when she was left behind. I'm also not that happy with all the trash talk she does. I also didn't like how she threw Ali under the bus. Wait a minute ... now why do I like her again?

Ali shot herself in the foot BIG TIME with her campaign against Vienna. In an effort to turn Jake from Vienna she has managed to poisoned him against her. Still ... I really liked watching her date with Jake. Even though much of it seemed forced.

I put Tenley on the bottom because she is too ... girly. She just seems unable to sustain an adult conversation. That's cute and all, but there are 3 other women who are more well rounded.

What do you think? Where do the girls rate with you?

If I heard her say that San Fran was her city one more time I was going to gouge my eyeballs out!

I was getting sick of it too, plus she may live there now but she's really not FROM there, she's from Massachusetts. She even said that's where her hometown date would be. The way she talks you would think she lived there her whole life.

I've finally made the decision. I really do not care for Ali. She annoys me. I was on the fence but tonight put me over the edge. I guess I'm Team Tenley!

ETA: I still don't see where the hatred toward Vienna is coming from. She is young, immature and boring but I beyond that I haven't seen much else.

Vienna is so young and dumb but I like her. She's making a HUGE mistake in pursuing Jake so hard. Jake is falling for her becasue he is under her spell. They are wrong for each other. Jake is falling for her because she makes him feel like a knight in shining armor. Independent, mature girls need not apply.

Vienna is exactly like Wes was with the controlling and possessive comments about Jake when clearly she's not the only one he's dating right now. It bugged me when Wes did it with Jillian, it bugs me when she does it. I don't know how anyone can find that attractive. I would run for this hills if someone acted that way so early in the relationship.

Last night on the 2 on 1 with Gia, she said upfront, "I'm going to pretend she's not there", and then she did, monopolizing the conversation. I know, it's a competition, it's been done before, do what you have to do, yadda yadda yadda, but that is just so rude. I just can't stand her. I loved when Jake leaned over onto Gia while Vienna was talking.

Here's my order of preference at the moment, as far as who I think is right for Jake (which is different from who I'd choose as a friend for myself):
Gia
Tenley
Ali

I think Corrie went home because he just didn't spend enough time to get to know her and their date seemed a bit forced, like he knew he HAD to get to know her right then and there. She's more reserved and Jake basically said that he didn't know if Corrie would ever open up enough for him. I don't think I'd like that being said about me on national tv! Still, they seemed like they would've shared alot in common.

Tenley is sweet and adorable. I think Jake wants that sweet girl he can take care of, makes him feel 100% manly. He seems pretty smitten with her.

Gia is just as sweet but a bit more independant. Again, she seems like the kind of girl who wants to be taken care of. Loved last night when he leaned into Gia while Vienna was chattering away.

Vienna is a daddy's girl. That's pretty stinking obvious! She's much bolder with Jake and there seems to be a side of him that really likes that wildness. But I think that would get old for him in a marriage, you know? IMO she's still rather immature.

Ali I used to like. Past tense! She is obsessed with Vienna and it's weird. I think she's effectively told Jake 'hey, this chick is not for you' and his response is that he'll do what he wants. Now Vienna is like the forbidden fruit! He wants to pursue her because of all the negativity being thrown around her. Heck, he took Vienna back to his room all alone, the other girls didn't get that treatment.

To sum up, I don't think Jake knows what they heck he wants in a wife. He's all over the map IMO. He's got 2 sweet girls, the kind you take home to meet the parents. But he's also got 2 wild, independant girls who are more take charge. I really wouldn't be surprised if he pulled a Brad and rejected both final girls.

I'm with you, Robinb. I like Gia the most, followed by Vienna. But I don't like Jake, so I hope he votes of Gia ASAP becuase she is too good for Jake, IMO. One thing that REALLY irks me about Jake is how he tells each of the girls that they are special to him not like any of the others. He gives each girl this false sense of unique love, and I think Gia really hit on that idea when she was talking to him at the winery. Jake has to be a bit more up front with the women and quit leading them all on. As much as I dislike Ali, she was right about how Jake has such a mix of different women. How can Jake genuinely be falling for so many different types of women? Either he's a player or he is extremely confused.

I liked the preview clip where Vienna's dad says she should be treated like a princess. I think Jake will get a glimpse of just how high maintenence Vienna really is and then finally come to his senses. It seems to me that the relationship between Vienna and Jake is getting a little strained. He seems to be getting turned off a little by her aggressiveness. I loved that he kept leaning into Gia the whole time Vienna was talking to him.

I am obviously in the minority but I still like Ali. To me it sounded like she was trying to put the Vienna drama behind her and focus on Jake. They look really comfortable together.

That's pretty hilarious! I thought her accent was a bit heavy and Gia's isn't too noticeable. Sheesh, her mom's was worse than Cake Boss. Although technically he's from NJ!

I STILL like Ali! She's a tough competitor and I like how comfident she is. I agree, if a man liked a princess with issues he WOULD NOT like me, either! I wouldn't waste my time on a wuss like that!
