Babysitting Services

Hi all! We're going to be making our first trip to HI and to Aulani this summer. We are so excited! We're also hoping to try for a couple date nights. With Aunty's still closed and Aulani-managed babysitting services not yet back up, does anyone have recommendations for a local sitter or company (we've tried care.com to no avail).

I have nothing of use to share, but just wanted to share my wishes that you find a great babysitting service. Some of my best memories of WDW when I was a little one were the rare nights my parents went out for some alone time and they booked a babysitter from the local area. Back in those days (before litigation was so prevalent), Disney helped with this and I remember several fun nights in my hotel room with an adopted "grandma" who loved taking care of kids. Hopefully you can find someone similar (and in the meantime I'll also keep my fingers crossed that Aunty's will open for you too).

Aulani does not have a preferred service like WDW did. Anybody that you find will be a stranger and you take your chances that they are reliable. They will not be a registered guest and will not be able to use the facilities either. Frankly, it makes me a bit nervous to go to a strange State and have somebody watch my kids that I don't know and that none of my friends or family have used.

Happy Kids Maui. They do all the islands. Not particularly user friendly in the planning. Will give a review after we use. You add them to the room if you want them to use the pool etc. we were given the recommendation by the four seasons.

The person they sent us was wonderful. We only had two evenings of babysitting scheduled and added a few more days bc she was excellent.
