Hi , my family, Hubby, myself, son (age 7 ) will be coming to orlando to visit the disney parks in 2 weeks, i noticed the Food and Wine fest will be going on during our stay , we will be staying off property, Embassy Suites on international drive ,convention center, they do offer babysitting services, we are coming from another state, would you leave your child with hotel services being from out of state? My husband and i want to enjoy Epcot and have a date nite while we are there, but im kinda worried, has anyone ever done this and if so for how long??? Thanks a bunch, im getting excited, (Oct 3rd thru 9th):yay:

I used All About Kids and I know they will go to offsite locations. I used my sitter for a park nanny but she met us at the room and I would have been fine leaving my kids alone with her. I had a long conversation with the owner and she found the right sitter for my son(he has autism).

We used kids night out (http://www.kidsniteout.com/).
I had read lots of good things about them on the boards and decided to try them. I've got to say that although there were only good recomendations for the company, I was a bit nervous given that it someone who I've never met before was going to be looking after my kids in a strange place.

The woman was great. She was right on time and came with a large suitcase full of toys. We stayed for a bit to make sure the kids were OK and feel comfortable with the woman. We told her if they wanted to go to the playground that was fine (no pool). The kids were having so much fun that they didn't want to go out.
We ordered pizza for everyone and left.

We did a quick stop at Epcot and for a few rides. Then we went to the California Grill at the top of the Contemporary for dinner and fireworks show.
The kids were safe and asleep when we got home. The next day they asked if we'd go out again.
