Has anyone used a babysitting service that comes to Windsor Hills? My husband and I rarely travel to Kissimmee with additional family, and we are wondering if we could somehow hire a service for our three sons ages 5, 3, and 1 year old to go out for date at Disney.

I'll be keeping an eye on this even though we may not stay at WH. I am looking to hire someone for a few hours one night as well, but it looks like the ones I know about only service hotels :(

I personally would be hesitant to hire someone to babysit that I didn't know, or if it wasn't through Disney. I see you're going on the cruise - do you have flounders nursery booked for the little one? I'd do the date night on the cruise if it were me.

I'm sure if you find a company that it would be fine, but I'd worry (that is just me). Plus, we're always pooped out late at night at Disney after doing stuff with the kids all day!

After some searching, I found http://www.sunshinebabysitting.com/inforates.htm. I called to ask her which areas she covers and she said they definitely offer service to the vacation homes and condos outside Disney. All sitters go through a background check, etc. It should be fairly easy to check up on them!

I also found this service: http://www.super-sitters.com/index.html

They just returned my call and also confirmed that they go to residential homes.

I couldn't find any information that said they will babysit outside of Orlando area hotels. :confused3

We were staying at Windsor Hills and we used Fairy Godmothers, women who answered phone was a bit gruff but our sitter Vivienne was lovely. She arrived with a big pile of toys for the kids and was quite disappointed I think that the kids were going to be in bed asleep by the time we left.

Seth (11 months) was awake when we returned and was happily sitting on her lap (he fell into a bad habit while on the trip of being fed back to sleep so I knew he probably wouldn't go back off if he woke while we weren't there)

I think we paid about $90.00 including tip and were gone from about 7.30 til 11.00 (we had a fab meal at Californian Grill)

I certainly wouldn't hesitate to book with them again, I figured in this day and age of internet if someone had had a major issue with them I would find it somewhere on the internet.

We were a little nervous as we very rarely leave the kids in fact I think it was just the second time we had left Seth, we worked out a code word so that if at any point Doug or I weren't happy we could use this and be on the same page and cancel but didn't need it.

I believe to that Kids Nite Out will also travel to Windsor Hills, they are endorsed by Disney but not Disney run. Fairy Godmothers use to also be Disney endorsed but they have scaled back I beleive as they use Grandmothers.

I hope this is of some help.

Thanks for all of the information!!

We don't leave our kids too often either, however since our kids go to bed early, it wouldn't be too bad to have someone to our home to watch them after they are asleep. I'd really like to go to see Cirque du Soleil, and I doubt my 3 and 1 year old boys would sit through it!

Bumping this post instead of creating a new one. :goodvibes Anyone else have any recent experiences/suggestions? In our case, we'd probably just put the kids to bed and the sitter would just be there in case of emergency.

I believe they kids nite out is recommended by disney

I would guess that they do the disney tourist areas. Call them and see!

2 years ago, we used Kid's Night Out. We were staying at Windsor Hills and it was not a problem. Lori Roy was our sitter and she was great. Our oldest daughter has special needs and she had no problems with her. The kids had a lot of fun and did not want her to leave. She actually worked 2 nights for us.

We are going back down in 2 weeks and I need to reserve them again for one night. I'm going to see if she is still working with them.

I'd highly recommend Kids Nite Out as I had fantastic experience with them in June. I took my then 15-month-old for her first visit to see the mouse and as a single parent, it was just the 2 of us. My best friend, however, lives in Vero Beach and was able to finagle her work schedule and join us for 2 of our 5 days, and I wanted to take the opportunity to have an "adults night" to the ride the rides that my daughter couldn't go on.

I was VERY hesitant to contract an outside agency and have an individual that I didn't know be responsible for my daughter. After thoroughly researching all of the options available and reading a countless number of great reviews for KNO I bit the bullet and scheduled a sitter from 4:30pm-11:00pm for one of our nights.

Felicia arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled time to allot time to go over Madeline's routine, likes/dislikes, etc. I was one happy mama to discover that she was in her final year of college as a nursing student and my daughter took to her immediately. When we arrived back at 11:30 she was even sitting in the dark studying by a book light so that she wouldn't wake my daughter.

If you are going to choose a sitting service I definitely give :thumbsup2 to KNO.

We've used Kids' Nite Out on two different visits for our now 6 year old daughter, and been very impressed both times. We'll be back next spring, and will definitely use them again.
