babysitting clubs at disney resorts

has anyone ever used the clubs for babysitting where you drop off and then pick them up and they activities, etc? is it safe, kids have fun, noone mistreated?

My DD loved the Neverland Club. I would send both of my kids to any of the kids club anytime.

I have a neighbor who used the services at the contemporary and said everything went fine, the kids seemed to enjoy. She has children who are 12,10,8,&6.

When I was young enough to be considered a "kid" at WDW the "kidsitting" clubs were awesome. I went to the contemporary when my parents were shopping. That was OK. They had a few free arcade games and you got dinner. Just a dinner from the cafe.
When I went to the Polynesian Peter Pan club however... That was pretty cool. They had tons of games and crafts. They had constant movies, and had actual consoles for playing games rather than just some arcade games. They even had an area in front of the screen that was set up so you could eat while watching the movie. Once again, they were just meals off a kids menu. It has probably changed since I was there like 4 years or so back... But take it from me, the clubs are awesome, safe, and they will keep your children occupied until you come back.
Oh, make sure your kids are at least 3 and potty trained. And I think twelve is the age limit

My kids have been going to The Neverland Club at the Polynesian and Simba's Cubhouse at The Animal Kingdom Lodge for YEARS and they love both. Very, very safe places and the kids have fun. All of us are going to be sad when ds outgrows the age limit in November when he turns 13...

Do you have to be staying at one of those resorts to use those services? I would love to have a couple hours with just me and the hubby but we are staying at POP. We have a 5 yr old who would go anywhere we drop her off at and be fine. This would be a wonderful option for us to do like before the fireworks one night. Just a little breathing room. Also, do these cost extra? If so how much? Thanks!
