Well I went to the dr's today. He took my history, did all the normal doctor stuff and he predicted my due date to be around the end of March or the first of April. I asked a few questions I really needed answers to (such as can I still take Aleve--no I can't. Tyelenol only :( ) and referred me to a OB/GYN who's going to see me tomorrow for more stuff, possibly a blood test I don't know.

We also went to Target and did some registering for stuff we'd like people to buy us for the baby, a stroller/carseat, bottles, Diaper Genie, etc.

I go to the pharmacy tomorrow to pick up my scrip for my vitamens the dr prescribed, since they were out and needed to ship them in from the warehouse or something.

I've also started trying to figure out how to decorate the room. I think I'm going to do Winnie the Pooh since our walls are already a neutral cream color and that would go perfect with some of the Pooh stuff I've seen. :)

I am getting so excited...wee!

wow! i must have missed the thread announcing your pregnancy!! congrats!!!

sending you pixie dust for a safe and healthy pregnancy and delivery!

Actually scarlette, it was brought up in another thread that was resurrected from about a year and a half ago where I had decided I wanted to have a baby, and got upset because I seemed unable to concieve. Somebody brought the thread back up for reasons unknown and that thread has devolved into catty namecalling and such, so I've chosen to let it die a graceful death.:)

My mom was really excited when we told her. My sister less so because she's also pregnant and due in Febuary. I think she thinks I'm showing her up again. I didn't plan this..this was completely accidental and I'm sorry for doing this to her. Poor kid...she's the middle one of three and it's always been tough for her to carve out her place in the family. I am the oldest (and according to my parents, the smartest and best)and so she's always had to compete with me for every ounce of affection she could get from our parents and grandparents. Here I am stealing her thunder yet again. I feel so bad for doing it,too. :(

We haven't told my grandmother yet...I want to tell her soon though, since I'm already about 11-12 wks pregnant. I know she'll go bananas like she did with our wedding, sending us stuff all the time.

We also are planning to tell DH's parents this weekend perhaps, because he's due to go off to Best Buy G.O. University in MN next week and he won't be around for almost 2 weeks or so because of it. We haven't figured out HOW to tell them though.

I am so excited and nervous and scared all at the same time. I've never been a mom, though I practically raised my brother and sister and I babysat a LOT growing up. It's not like I've never been around a baby before but still...it's different when it's your own, ya know?

Hi,

Congratulations, what an exciting time. Get all your rest NOW!! and keep a journal, or jot down notes. Time has a way of flying by when your kids are born.

:p

DD2 I have been, since I am now the proud owner of a LiveJournal. :)

I have been sleeping A LOT LOT LOT more than I expected. I never knew being pregnant made a girl so tiiiiiiiired.

Congrats to you! If you think you are tired now, just wait! Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

I missed it too!!! Congratulations and best of luck to you! :D

Congrats!! I know how your sister feels. When I was pregnant with my second. My family was very happy and fussing quite a bit over me. Well, around the middle of my pregnancy, my sister (who is 10 years older and it was a surprise since it was hard for her to get pregnant with her first) announced she was pregnant. Just seemed like all attention was to her then and everyone forgot about me!! I know she didn't "plan" it but I was a tad resentful at the time...but I am over it now....it is 7 years later.

Good luck!!! I just LOVED being pregnant...

Great news.

About being tired. The 1st trimester, and the last 1/2 of the 3rd have always been the most tiring for me. You should get some energy back pretty soon.

How sad for your sister, I can't imagine my parents, much less my grandparents, showing such favoritism.

Hope everything works out well for you.

I saw the resurrected thread and had wondered how you made out. I am so glad to hear that things worked out for you.

Enjoy the time, it seems to go by so quickly. It seems as soon as you find out your pregnant the months just fly by.

You will be a great Mom dont worry.

Magickndm--I can't exactly explain it, but that's how it's been my entire life, esp with my Grandma Anderson (my maternal grandmother). I was the first 'Texas baby' and she's always treated me as if I were somehow more important than my sister and baby brother. I never ASKED her to do this and it's kind of understood in the family that's just how it is with her. *shrug*I can't really do anything about it. She's old, not really doing too well health-wise and extremely set in her ways.*shrugs* I've just learned over the years to be appreciative of what I get from her.

I have my very first OB appt in a few hrs. I am extremely nervous because I've never even been to a gyno so I have NO idea of what to expect at the OB's office. :(
