Hi All,
Just curious. We leave for WDW in 2 days. Hopefully Ernesto won't keep us grounded. I was mentally thinking of what I want in my carry-on bag. I have a DS4 and DS2 (still in diapers). With the new rules and regulations does anyone know if baby wipes are allowed on the plane? Thanks!! :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Yes, wipes are allowed on the plane. I did have to throw away diaper cream and sealed juice (even though the TSA site said both were allowed :confused3 ). You can bring 4oz or less of OTC medication, as well. This came in handy because flying hurts dd's ears.

You really won't know what is or isn't allowed until you go through security.

Good luck!

Just in case you can use cloth wipes.

Just get some of those baby wash cloths and take them dry, wet them in the nearest sink and wash when you do your laundry. If a little poop scares you away you can just toss the washcloths

Along the same lines.....

I was wondering if they (TSA) would let me bring packets (sealed, never opened) of diaper rash cream samples. I figured the tube would be a no go, so I got some sample packets. What do you guys think? What's the chance they'll let me bring these?

I flew recently... diaper wipes are okay. Diaper cream will be confiscated. I don't know about sample packs ... even if the TSA website stated I could only bring 1 cup of milk per child (I have a baby and a toddler) I was allowed to bring 3 drink packets of organic milk because they were still sealed.

I think it being sealed may work in your favor.

See, that's what I personally find frustrating about the whole screening thing. Rules are enforced sporadically. My best friend just flew to NYC on business and had a new sealed (still on its blister pack) tube of mascara, and they made her pitch it (she forgot she had it in her GIANT purse, LOL!).

I mean, obviously things that appear to be sealed could simply be "reglued" -- and that could apply to any liquid -- so why are "some" sealed items okay and others not? Drives me crazy.

It is all so nuts...
We're going out of town today and I'm worried what we'll have to check...

Good to know about the diaper cream... so I guess the TSA doesn't mind a screaming infant on the plane due to diaper rash, huh?
Idiots.

Oh, I know.

My dh had an 8 oz. bottle of contact lense solution and was allowed to bring it. Coming back from Seattle, though, the agent made him pitch it because the allowable amount is apparently 4 oz. :confused3

Be sure to check the TSA website. Here's the list of permitted and prohibited items: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm
