We are traveling to WDW in December with our three sons ages 6, 3 and 17 months old.:dance3: We were planning on using our single stroller and renting a single one for the older ones to use from time to time during the week (we did this last year and it worked great!). Well, the cost is big and I have found a Baby Trend Sit and Stand stroller for $50, which will save me money, we'll own something to use from time to time on outings and DW and it will be only one stroller to worry about. My question is....does anyone have one? Have they used it in Disney? My concerns....hard to get on/off buses? Does the front seat recline in case our little ones needs a nap? Does the basket have enough room for us to carry all of our stuff? Any thoughts would be great! Thank you!!!:goodvibes

We used the sit and stand on our trip. We had plenty of basket room and my little guy (3) had no problem napping in it, which surprised me. He even fell asleep on the back bench seat one time too. :rotfl:

To make more room, I altered a diaper bag to fit on the side...kind of like of saddle bag, but we didn't end up needing it. Also, if you have the same exact stroller as ours, we were able to pull off the front tray and attach it under the parent tray when my kids didn't need it. It gave me a wider cup holder/tray area and the front seat was open for the kids to jump on and off. This also helped to make it smaller when folded.

We took it on the tram and monorail and didn't have a problem, but it was slow season and there was room. It does get hard to push when the weight limit is close.

Thanks for getting back to me.....sounds like it will work for us. I appreciate your info!!!:goodvibes

We too plan to use our Sit N. Stand during our trip for DD4 and DS2. The recline is not too far on the front seat but since little ones usually sleep anywhere it probably won't matter. We did pick our second one up at a yard sale for $20. and I plan to leave it at Disney rather than lug it back since we have a second one.

I borrowed one of these years ago when we went. It is a little hard to push compared to other strollers, and I found it a litle to heavy for me to carry, but that;'s what dh is for:ssst: . As far getting it on the buses, to me that is such a small part of the day that I don't worry about it too much. I also think that your 3 yo is going to use that stroller alot. it will certainly be money well spent.

Thank you for your input, I really appreciate it! You're right, my 3 yr. old will tell he'll walk at the mall/zoo or wherever and will for about 20 minutes before DH is carrying him! And he's 37 lbs. so between the backpack DH will be carrying and him, he can't do it all day!! At least it gives us options. THanks again!!:goodvibes

I just got back from our trip last month with the baby trend sit and stand. I used it for my DD 17 months at the time and DS-6. Overall using it and having it, I really enjoyed it. I think the fact that you'll have mom and dad there will really help a lot. My DH is in Iraq, so it was me and my sister's family. The hardest thing was getting it on and off the buses. Honestly for a semi double, it really does compact nicely, but I really wasn't able to get it on the bus and my 17 month old by myself. I did it once at a slow time, but it really is difficult, as it took me both hands to load the stroller onto the bus and my dd wasn't big enough to walk onto or off the bus. I don't think it would be an issue if you both plan to be dealing with the buses together. I had been very concerned about the front seat not reclining enough for my dd. It doesn't recline nearly as much as a single, but honestly we never had a problem. DD fell asleep in the stroller many times, and had no issues. I thought there was plenty of room in the basket. The problem was getting to it. You can't get to it from the back, only the sides - its really not a huge deal, I just usually left the snaps undone. I also didn't find it hard to push or navigate through crowds -at least not anymore than with a regular stroller. I really liked that I was able to put DS in it and have him contained at closing or in busy crowded areas. It gave me peace of mind that he was right there with me, and couldn't get lost. I would definetly take it again. Hope you have a wonderful time.

Thanks for all of your input, I really appreciate it. It sounds like a great solution for us and with DH help, even better! Hope you had a wonderful trip!!!! And hope your DH comes home from Iraq soon!!! :goodvibes

Thanks, he should be back in about a month. It's been a long 15 months, so DS is very excited.
