How does the baby switch work on CRush? Does the person with the baby go through the exit and wait until the other person has finished the ride and then swop over?

Or some other system?

I want to make sure there aren't any delays when we get to the Studios at rope drop. Crush is first on my list and I'd like to ride it a few times before it gets too busy, so don't want us to waste time not knowing how the baby swop thing works. :thumbsup2

what do you class as too busy? I've seen Crush Coaster lines get up to over 60 minutes on a midweek morning as soon as 10am comes :confused3. You might get 2 rides in first thing before the queues get stupid.

Hopefully someone will know how babyswitch on Crush works.

60 mins is what I class as too busy! I've managed 2 rides straight after rope drop in the past on a rainy December day, and once we got a go just as the park was closing with only a 20 min queue, so am hoping for something similar!

Good luck with that.....I don't think you'll get that lucky again as the weather has been out of this world since March, and I think that you'll be hard pushed to get a queue shorter than 60 mins! Between now and end of July, a lot of people take their kids out of school (especially those that are starting secondary school in September and don't want to risk taking their children out after that) and a lot will be squeezing one last cheap trip before their little ones start school for the first time too. I'd prepare myself for a 60 min wait, even when I have been in November and it was raining so hard that DLP was practically swimming at the rope drop, the queues still quickly get up to 60-90 mins! A July trip bought a two hour wait once!

As for the child swap, tell the ride attendant you are wanting to do this, and they will direct who ever is waiting with the little one to the disabled entrance, which is also the ride exit. You must tell the atttendant there you are waiting to do a child swap, and they will wait until the next available slot for you to board :) They will only let one person ride this way though, and if you want to swap again, you need to rejoin the queue :goodvibes

Thanks Lisa, can I just confirm- DH could take the baby via the disabled entrance/ usual exit and then I queue in the usual way and when I finish the ride, then I take the baby and DH can ride?

Is this right? Sorry for being so dense! We've never used baby switch before, as we've always had our inlaws coming who look after the kids when DH and I want a grown up ride, but my inlaws have had to pull out of the trip.

When we did baby switch on this last year we were give a ticket that permits two people to ride.

We spoke to the cm at the entrance to the ride and explained we wanted baby switch. He gave us the ticket and my DH and elder kids went onto Crush. I went for a wander with lewis and did a couple of rides while we waited for them to finish. When they came off, I went in the exit, as directed by the CM. It was good having the ticket for two as it meant one of the kids could ride again with me.

The same applies for aerosmith. I think this is something new in the Studios only. In the main park at BTM or SM you just wait at the exit - but can be a bit confusing as you can never be sure of which side to wait at.

The ticket is a great idea - it means you don't have to hang about looking for them and can enjoy something else while you wait.

For Crush it will be busy - all the time.

Hope i've explained this ok - it is really very easy. The CM's at the entrances to the ride will keep you right. :thumbsup2

The ticket idea is great- our baby wouldn't do well waiting inside for over an hours, so I can take him for a wander instead. Such a great idea for the Studios to come up with:thumbsup2

in september most if not all rides gave us tickets the only thing that varied was when and who gave them - some were given as you board ride( Im pretty sure crush was like that) and others gave them at entrance.

:)
