Hi again,

How does this works? The last time I did it at WDW I was pregnant but I also forgot!!!! (2005)...Anyway....do I need to stay in line with my toddler all the time until it will be my husband turns with my daugther or I wait in another place (going through the exit or single ride)....Please!!! can someone give me a new refresh of how this works at DL...Thanks!!!

The CM will tell you where to wait. Go up to the CM at the ride and tell them you want to baby swap. They will give you a paper with instructions. Then one of you goes on with your older child. When they get off you follow the instructions to go on the ride. Some you enter through the exit or wheelchair entrance.

Most of the time, the rides you would swap on are going to be the ones with a fastpass and so the CM who takes FP's is where you would get the childswap pass (you must have the whole party there to get the pass). You would then send whoever is riding first on the ride (hopefully with a fastpass but can stand in the stand by line) and when they come off, the others go on through the FP line. I don't think I've ever tried to use swap on a non FP ride so not sure how those work. My baby went on all non height restricted rides on her first trip at 5 months.

....where is the CM that takes the FPs?? so if my DH and i want to do the baby swap thing to ride indiana jones, how far do we have to walk into get the child swap pass? just wondering if we have to take both DDs out of the double-stroller and walk a long ways to get the pass? i'm clueless - we've never done the child swap thing before but plan to try it out in may (for indy and soarin').

You can push your double stroller right up. The CM stands right at the entrance to the line (this is where they check your FP ticket not really actually take it). One person gets up to the front, points over to the stroller and says you need a child swap pass and they will give it to the person staying behind.

It's best if you still get a FP for the person (or people) riding first so that they can go through a short line as well. The person (or people) returning with the child swap ticket later will then get to use the FP line as well. It's a bit confusing to explain but super easy to do!

thanks, alison! it's been soo long since i've ridden indy (only rode it once back in 2003 when i was there with my sister and her family). DH, DDs, and I went to DL together as a family for the first time last october...then again in december, but we concentrated mostly on rides with no height restrictions. since our may trip is a couple days longer, i want to fit in a few rides where we can do the baby swap thing. i do plan on getting FPs for indy 1st thing in the morning...then use them later during the day with the child swap pass! :thumbsup2
