How exactly does it work, and does anyone have a picture of one?

We have used the child swap passes the past two years when we have visited. Our whole party including child too small to ride would go to the line entrance and ask the CM for a child swap pass. They looked like fast pass tickets. With he new fast pass system I am not sure if they will be the same. Then three members of our party would ride while one member stayed with DD too small to ride. Once the first group was finished another member would hang out with DD while three of us rode. My DD 8 loved it because she was able to ride everything with both DH and myself. A special note some CMs were great and blew bubbles or spent extra time to interact with DD2. Hope this helps.

They still look like the FP- tickets. This is as of Feb. 2014. You must present the child to the CM at the entrance to the ride. They will NOT give you one if they don't see a child that doesn't meet the ht requirements. Some will also want to see who is riding first and make them go through right then, we noticed this at the big ones, space mt and sorin. You can take up to 3 other people with you to ride when you return with the pass. Also an interesting tidbit they are usually good until the end of the month. We had one that we got on March 1 but didn't use and gave it to our friends, that went 3 weeks after us. They used it with no problem.

The month long acceptance of passes is nice. Sounds like it will be easier to fit in a lot of rides for some of us earlier in the day, and the rest of us can come back later to ride more. The child having to be there is a little annoying, as I was hoping whoever stayed with the baby could take her to a different area instead of waiting at the ride, but I can understand why they do this to avoid scammers, otherwise they could potentially just giving away what amounts to free Fast Passes.

The baby does not have to wait at the ride, just make an appearance. After the first group goes in the line, the waiting group can take the baby and do something else.
