Anyone know where I canget up-to-date baby swap info. Alot of sites don't have Mission Space or have Countdown to Extinction listed so I know it's not current. Also, when doing a baby swap, can someone ride twice. Like my DD8 ride with Dh and then again with me or me with DH and then with my mom. TIA

I am unsure of a web page that has this info, but we used baby swap at mission space when we went last April. My oldest was 8, at the time, and rode each ride twice. Once with me, and once with my dh. I thought the baby swap was great. We plan on utilizing it again when we go in Oct. :sunny:

I just ret'd from a week at Disney with my almost 3-year olds and my sister and her family. All we did was baby swap!

We used baby swap on all these rides: Mission Space, Test Track, Splash Mountain, and Soarin, and of course Rockn Roller Coaster. We did not ride any other rides. On Splash Mountain we rec'd a swap ticket that said, and the CM told us too, that up to 3 people can do the swap at one time. Not sure if that was good just for Spl Mountain or a new policy that we just hadn't been aware of. It certainly benefit someone in your situation, so I hope that is the case!

I didn't know that there might be rides that you can't swap on???

I was with my sister and her husband and their kids too. We always had to show the entire families to the CM in order to get the "rider switch" ticket.

We just returned two weeks ago and had used the baby swap passes alot. We used them on every ride that I can think of that my little one was unable to go on. So I don't think there is a ride they would turn you down a pass.

On the pass it states you can use the pass for up to 3 people to come with you onto the ride. So my husband would take my 2 older sons on and then come and get me and I would then take them both back on it again. They thought this was the best thing every invented :rotfl:

Some of the CM would want to see me and hand me the pass and others would just give him the pass and tell him to give it to me once he got off of the ride.

We also found out that if for some reason you cant use the pass right away, keep it to use later...or even the next day.

No, you can do it in them all. I just wanted a list b/c some of the rules for how you do it are different.

Thanks for the info everyone!

I also don't know of a list but I can tell you on Mission Space & Countdown to Extinction, you get the Rider Swap pass from the CM standing at the front of the line and the parent & child who are waiting can either wait near the exit in the play area or wherever until the first adult gets off the ride, then the second parent goes in the fast pass line while the first one waits with the child again. As a matter of fact, this is pretty much how it works on any ride that has a height restriction and a Fast Pass line. If there is no FP line, then just ask the CM at the front of the ride and they'll let you know what to do.

The Rider swap pass is good for up to three people so if you have older children, then yes, they can ride again. like the pp said, the rider swap pass doesn't have an expiration time so you can even use it later if you want.

hth!

Baby Swap Rocks! DS, who is 7, made out like a bandit riding every ride twice. The best part is there was no time that we had to come back (unlike FP). So we got a swap card on Splash Mountain, and used it later that afternoon when we needed a "water" ride to refresh ourselves. The swap pass said that up to 3 guests could ride on the card, and you go into the FP line, bypassing the stand-by line. This little benefit made our lives and trip so enjoyable. Enjoy!

I know for sure we did a swap at DINOSAUR, but I don't remember getting a pass. Do all rides give passes for swapping now?

Where do you get the swap pass? Same place we would get the fastpass?

I'm not understanding...

Me too, How do you get a baby swap card?
I have DS3 and DS15, my guess is that we will do a lot of this during our 7 days

12 days to go.... :mickeybar

You just ask the cast member as you walk in. At dinosour, they do not give you a pass, they just walk you through to the lobby and you wait there to rejoin your party. Same with space mountain, I think. None of this really requires advance planning- just walk up and ask. The nice thing about the passes is you can use them ANYTIME that day. So if you don't have time to go back right then, you can do so later.

So, when we go back for our FASTPASS time, we just tell them we want to use the baby swap? I guess I will have to take the 18 mo and 3 yo with me without the stroller while I wait for DH and DS13 to ride, then I can ride with DS13?

We will be vacationing with my in-laws in December. Our DS will almost by 1 if my DH and I want to go on a ride can we do the baby swap with our in-laws or do they have to wait outside the ride for us to come out then they can ride?

I believe some rides have you go through the line together, and others have them wait, then you come and get the baby and they go.

I have never used the baby swap but will be going next month with 4 adults and a two year old. Just to clarify 3 of the adults can ride and then switch and two of the people that just rode can go again with the person who waited off the ride the first time?

We always just asked the CM at the fast pass line how we need to do the baby swap(last year oldest DD was 3 and youngest DD was 4 months). We would always get our FPs first, I despise waiting in long lines!!:teeth:
Most often, we were handed something that looked like a fast pass and told we could wait wherever we wanted until they got off the ride, then the next group could go through. We were able to work it (we were with another couple and their 2 DSs) so everyone pretty much got to ride 3 times through the FP line...it was pretty cool.
Our friends' oldest DS rode everytime since you're able to get 3 people through on a baby swap ticket...
