We are going the first week in May with a 2, 5, and 7 year olds. We will have to baby swap a bunch and want to make sure we understand. We used it a lot last year at Disney. At Disney, we would all go up. They would give us a ticket for baby swap. Dad and the 2 boys would ride while I played with the baby. Then I would ride with the 2 boys while dad babysat. So the kids rode twice. Some other posts implies one adult riding twice and I did not understand that. Also, what rides are 2 person "cars" and which are three? That way we will know when a parent and both kids can ride together. Thanks!

We spent an entire week @ US/IOA last May with my 9 y/o DS and 6mth old DS. We were pros at the child swap after the first couple of days.

1 parent should be able to ride with both children on all the rides except for Pterradon Flyers and I personally don't recommend the wait for that one anyway. Earthquake has the largest waiting area for child swap. If you don't mind missing the pre-show you can enter directly into the area and wait in air conditioned comfort. I used that time to feed, change, etc. I probably won't be too popular here, but I actually found the child swap easier at Universal than Disney. Maybe it was because we were there so long and learned all the short cuts. We never received a "ticket" for child swap, just let the first cast member at the entrance know and they will tell you where to go.

I hope you enjoy your trip. The first week of May is normally a good time to go. We are headed back the 3rd week of May with my now 10y/o and 18 mth old. :dance3:

The baby swap at Cat in the Hat is roomy, spacious, and very nice as well...Our first trip with DS (1yrs old) this worked like a charm. My wife used the time to change, feed, etc...like the previous poster did....and dont worry about saying something is better at USO than WDW...the swap program is really good and helpful in both places, although more conveinent at USO. Enjoy your trip!!!!:confused3

Universal swaps are very user friendly. My 10 year old and I will go through line at the Mummy while hubby goes up the ramp through the store to the swap area. When 10 y/o and I are done, we meet a the swap area and I stay with my 3 y/o a hubby goes on with our 10 y/o. You don't have to wait in the long line again. You go to a shorter line and our son gets to ride twice. He loves that part of the swap. He is able to ride with both of us.

There is also good themeing at some places. Spiderman and Mummy have cartoons. MIB has a great waiting area. I wish they would show the TV cartoon instead of the "Dufus" over and over. We haven't tried the Hulk swap yet. We'll try it in a few weeks.
