Thought I might ask for a little help. I am throwing a baby shower for my best friend at the Beg. of October. I am having it at a tea room so not a lot of work. (just bring the credit card to get more Disney reward points! lol) It is also only 12-15 people with five being children.

I would like to do something unique but am lacking on ideas. Any help?

What do you like to get for a favor? Anything you dislike?

THANKS!!!
Kristina

We've been doing this favor for years. You take lifesaver candies the white kind and pink or blue jelly belly beans. Using a paste made with powdered sugar and water. You can glue the jelly belly beans to the middle of the lifesavers and then you add another lifesaver to the other side of the lifesavers so, it looks like a handle. Then, you got what looks like a baby pathifier (spelling???). I think, I explained this wrong but hopefully you know what I mean. Have fun with the party...

You could make cinnamon buns and wrap them up in colorful cellophane-pink if it's a girl and blue if it's a boy and attach a note on there saying Thank you from ________(you would add in the mom to be's name) bun in the oven.

You could could make or order personalized candy labels online.

For the birth of my daughter, before she was born, I had given some close family and friends a candle and asked them to make a wish for my daughter as she was born. You could do this buy wrapping the candle up in some nice see through material, use a decorative ribbon and attaching a little note with instructions. This way the new baby will have blessing as he or she enters the world from the ones that love him or her.

my daughter got the molds for teddy bears and made blue and pink lollypops.......they were actually white chocolate with color ......they were so cute and everyone loved the looks of them.....they were with a stick and in baby cellaphane that was little babies on them......not expensive and we had 50 or so people.....

Hmmm...Baby Shower....let see. Do you have a budget?

For my Bridal Shower, my sister got tons of chinese food quart containers (the white box w/ metal wire) punched a heart onto the front side of it and sealed with clear celephone and filled it with all these goodies and tied the box closed with red tulle.

I've been to only a couple of baby showers and I've gotten lollipops and frames. Maybe you can buy some small frames at the dollar store and decorate it a bit, or wrap it up in a box and when they send out the baby pix, everyone can use the frames then.

I've also gotten the usual plastic favors (like the ones from Party City) of like rattles or bottles...which I didn't like too much. It's just not very original.

I handed out personalized tea bags at the baby I hosted a few months ago. They were a big hit with all of the guests, including the mother-to-be. I found these on ebay! Good luck.
